To say that Sybille was excited to go to Hogwarts was a vast understatement. She was beyond excited. Way beyond excited! Every day she thought of some new question for her siblings regarding the school. “When is curfew?” “Is dinner good?” “Will they serve pudding every night?” “Will I get lost?” To the point that her older siblings seemed to be losing their tolerance with her. Especially Jolie. So she’d taken to saving them for Ace. After all he was the oldest of them and had just graduated from school, she supposed he ought to know best of all. Besides he seemed much more patient with the questions than the others. But she still hadn’t asked some of the most important ones. Some of the scariest ones. Would she be able to bake at Hogwarts? Instead she kept those to herself until she could find the right time.
Skipping along beside Ace as they made their way through Diagon Alley Sybille kept these questions to herself. There were other more exciting things happening today. She could barely contain her excitement for today, today was the day she finally got her wand. She’d be a real witch then. She could do all sorts of things with a wand and her siblings wouldn’t be able to call her little or child anymore. Besides, she wasn’t the baby anymore. Roselle was. Getting her wand would remind her siblings of this.
When they reached the shop Ace opened the door and Sybille gleefully entered. “Absolutely!” She chirped as they entered the interior of the store. It was dimmer than she had expected with walls and walls of small boxes, her eyes widened. She hadn’t known how many choices there would be. She did know that she didn’t have to pick, but she didn’t quite understand how. “How will he find me a wand with all of these?” She whispered to her brother, hoping the owner of the store wouldn’t hear her, her eyes anxiously looked up at her brother for the first time since they had left their home her worry and awe appeared on her face and doubt seemed to trickle into her stomach.
