One of the cheapest homeless shelters in Victorian London charged four pennies to sleep in a coffin. Which was... still better than sleeping upright against a rope? — Jordan / Lynn
If he was being completely honest, the situation didn't look good, but Sylvano was not in the habit of being completely honest about anything. No reason to start now.

My Readings are Foggy

It had been just over two weeks since she'd been caught up in the latest Wizarding World Disaster that was the Vanishing Mists - and the encounter had been far too close than she would've preferred. She'd been looking after her neice and nephews and giving their parents a break when the Mist began to unfurl and cause anything it touch to simply disappear. The resulting chaos had been horrific - and trying to ensure her niece and nephews were kept safe throughout the entire event had been a taste of parenthood that had certainly not been appreciated. The wait afterwards for her siblings and the impending reality that she was now It for the kids had also not been appreciated.

Parenthood had not been in her plan - her home certainly was not set up for kids so she'd bought the now orphaned kids to stay with the best parents she could think of - people who had parented her far better than her own had anyway. Aunt Beatrice could fix anything and did the best that she could and by the end of Judy's leave of absence they'd decided that the kids were settled and staying with her was for the best. Judy really wasn't settled. She worked long hours and lived in essentially was a room designed for one. She wasn't setup for kids.

If she was being honest she would be pleased if the incident resembled the 1845 incident. Yes the individuals and their families lost two years out of their lives but at the end of the day they had been alive... but it felt like a cruel hope- some sort of denial - to even properly consider that possibility. She tried to think about it properly. There seemed to be far too many differences from the incident.

"I agree with you Freddie - the way it just appeared without warning or a history on a day where people were gathered together in a way they usually wouldn't - as if somebody chose a day that would cause the most chaos. The records we have of naturally occurring mists usually don't just occurr out of nowhere though whose to say with how new Irvingly is that it hasn't happened before. I mean it happens but I'd place money on somebody causing it first."
