Jin could feel his anger blocking out any semblance of reason. His vision had gone red (or green) and ire bubbled dangerously between his fingertips. He didn’t know where his restraint had gone, but one mention of Dae Min-Jee and he was ready to settle the score at any cost. Moon-ssi was obvious as he glanced down at Jin’s mouth, probably wondering if those pointed canines were going to stab into his neck or something stupid, and the temptation to do it — just to be a brat — had Jin deliberating. He didn’t want to bite Moon-ssi though. He wanted to kiss him. Hard.
The realization raced down the back of Jin’s spine like wildfire. He at once wanted to recoil immediately and act on it in the same instance. He knew better than to try either though; Moon-ssi would come for blood and Jin wasn’t sure he was willing to risk his former friend’s safety. Or his own.
At the inevitable question that was asked, Jin felt his anger flare again. “Jugeullae?” He heard himself snap in disbelief. There was no way Moon-ssi had just asked him that! It was like he wasn’t taking anything Jin said seriously! Nostrils flared as the vampire debated coming up with something on the fly. (What was he realistically going to do, bite her? A lot of good that would do anyone. It might hurt, or scare her, but it would do him a lot more damage and prove them all right.) Ani. Jin knew better than to indulge the really dark thoughts of what he could do. He’d lived with Abeoji too long to not have some idea and that, alone, scared him.
“Test me, and we’ll see if you’re ready to find out,” Jin growled. With that, he should have ripped away from Moon-ssi and stomped off. But instead he lingered, too close and too personally. There was still something dangerous glinting behind the golden hue of his brown eyes, but he’d managed to settle enough that he wasn’t about to light Moon-ssi on fire anymore. Though how long that would last was anyone’s guess.
