There wasn't any chicken today. Fish it was, then. They settled into their meal, Ahn-Bo cheerily joining in the chatter as he filled his bowl to the very brim. He hadn't meant to stare along with the others, but he couldn't help his curiosity. He'd been making assumptions that the half-vampire was like the rest of them, but he didn't actually know. It wasn't like he'd asked. It occurred to him then that maybe Seojin-a didn't want to eat in front of everyone. What if he did need blood? Had Ahn-Bo just set him up for the most uncomfortable meal of his life? But no, he'd put food in his bowl just like the rest (though it was a much smaller amount than what Ahn-Bo had.)
Tanako-ssi voiced the question they'd all been thinking. Even Ahn-Bo knew it was rude to ask—which was why he hadn't—though he may have given in if it had been just the two of them. Seojin-a hadn't seemed to be bothered by it, at least. He'd spoken matter-of-factly and made it very clear that his diet was just like the rest of theirs. Although the others hadn't been able to hide their reactions.
"I have," he blurted around a bite of rice, drawing the attention away from the vampire and to himself. He grinned around his chopsticks, the bewildered and amused looks he received making him laugh. "Been hit with plenty of bludgers and broomsticks this year," he clarified, "And that one time coach made us fly in that storm where Kato-ssi slammed into me." The tension vanished, the others shaking their heads or laughing, nodding their agreement. Except for Kato-ssi, who protested with, "You're the one who crashed into me Ahn-chan!"
