Daff eyed him, eyes narrowed. She could understand the want to go back, to be useful, but he couldn't wear himself out. "You can't do it all," she assured him quietly, gently. "Have you eaten? At least have something from the basket. Ma sent your favorites." He would need some sleep at some point. Daff wanted to be supportive, but also make sure he was taking care of himself.
"And I could go for a snack." There, that might help. She batted her eyelashes at him playfully, but hoped he would concede just long enough to let her get an idea of how he was and how often she would need to follow up.
