When Blair had heard about the broom race she had jumped at the chance. Pretty much the only flying she had done away from the islands had been night time patrols over Hogsmeade with Charley's posse, watching out for imagined werewolves. So a race would be a fine break from that malarkey.

The teen wasnt in the lead, which bothered her a little, the seeker must be off her game from those long nights of flying dead slow to keep lookout. She wasnt even right behind the lead pair, but she clearly spotted the leader make a rather awful swooping strike on her yearmate. "Oi! Thats a foul!" she yelled  at the boy as he took his advantage and zoomed off ahead of the other chasing riders. Blair wasnt going to win so she whipped in an arc to check that the downed rider was ok. "Are you ok Weasley?" one red head shouted to another.
