The once was enough for Alexandra. For all her complaints about his changes this past year, she hadn't missed that glazed, empty look in his eyes. Not truly. Not enough to cast that spell again and have him kiss the soles of her shoes. Alexandra would have been content to never again experience her husband's expressive facial features slipping into that neutral, distant one he'd worn for so long.
