December 17th, 1892 - Winnie's room, London
Gus Lissington
Gus Lissington
Winnie had written to Gus later that night, after everything had happened with Dory. She knew she needed to let him know she was alright, but she also wanted to explain, so had written again to coax him into a visit with cocoa once more. This time she had gone all out, gotten the good cocoa from Honeydukes, splurged on some milk instead of water and even gotten a couple of his peppermint chocolate frogs and candy canes to go with it. Mr. Honeyduke was pretty easy to sweet talk to get what she'd needed.
It was already ready for the time he'd agreed to show up and Winnie was curled up in her bed, the cocoa on the table next to her. She was half asleep from being up all night for a delivery, but this was important so she needed to keep herself focused. Mostly she needed Gus to help her get her brain together. She wasn't even sure if she could, but she was hoping he might at least help her put things into perspective.
The floo lit up green announcing his arrival and Win put her book down, leaning forward with a tired sort of smile. "Hello Handsome," She hadn't really been reading, she'd mostly been toying with her necklace and staring out the window, but whatever she could do to keep herself awake. "I made the good stuff this time, to make up for last time." She passed him a more sheepish smile and patted the bed next to her.
