This explained exactly nothing from Victor's perspective, but he was hesitant to say so and reveal his ignorance. If Fisk said it was alright, though, presumably it ought to all still work the same? Victor's primary hesitation had been not wanting to touch Fisk in a way he wouldn't enjoy, if he was particularly sensitive or tender in that area. If that was the case, though, surely he would have taken this opportunity to impart some kind of instructions for how he did want to be touched. Since he hadn't, Victor could only assume he was free to continue as planned.
"Oh... kay." (Was this going to taste the same?) "Just — tell me if I need to change anything I'm doing, alright?" he asked tentatively, as he worried his lower lip with his teeth. He took Fisk in his hand and stroked him, slowly at first but more firmly when Fisk didn't protest. As he gained confidence that the difference here seemed to be cosmetic and not fundamental, Victor moved to his knees.
