July 19th, 1894 - by letter

Millie,

I am sorry I havent been about the past few weeks, I promise we will take tea at the start of august, we have so much to discuss.

I have taken a small new apartment of my own and have been making it into a home, you should visit, its quite lovely, although I have had to remove a few of the flowering plants from above my bedstead. Its address is perhaps something you might be curious about.

I apologise for the slightly erratic nature of this letter, I'm excited Mildred! As you are aware I have been released from the services of the Valenduris family and been looking for a new job. Well, I have taken a role at Hogwarts. Come September I shall be the new Hufflepuff house matron. So I suppose you may forward my mail to the big castle on the other side of the lake. I have already met with Professor Lissington, I think we shall make a good team. I hope this news does not cause you anxiety as I swear I shall not interfere with your last two years at school little sister.

I just thought it best you hear this from me, I apologise I have not had the time to tell you in person but we can talk about it more when I see you. I will make sure we see each other on OWLs day at the very least. Good luck!

I was starting to be ready to send a missive of sorrow and good tidings for a new job, yet that seems altogether unnecessary. It never ceases to amaze me how put-together you are, no wonder you're Mum's favorite, and please don't tell her I wrote that.

I should think having you near at Hogwarts would be a pleasant change, presuming I am bound to return myself. The castle has been rather lonely for a few years, what with Fletcher leaving right after I started and Calla being so focused on her NEWTs in her last years. It never felt quite right, you see, being the only Potts in Hogwarts while everyone else could freely mingle outside.

You appear to have faith that I'll be returning to school, having met with Papa's approval upon receiving my OWL grades. I share a hope that will be true, and that will mean I can spend some time with my sister when we are both free. Before Calla graduated, we used to get together regularly for tea. Perhaps that would be a suitable options to start with?
