Mother,

I've made it to Hogwarts, and am settling in. I'm in Ravenclaw, which is a surprise, but it doesn't seem to make too much of a difference in the end? Anyway, I'm trying to make friends, and you don't have to worry about me meeting the right sort. One of my roommates is the son of Darcy Potter, the old Minister. That seems like a good start.

Give my best to my younger siblings and Aunt Ella.
