Appearance:
Sébastien stands at five feet, nine inches tall with dark brown hair, greenish blue eyes and is considered slender, with a body that you could say would be built for something like gymnastics or ballet. He favors his left hand, though has been known to do certain things like stirring potions with his right, but he wouldn't consider either hand at the same level as one another. He dresses quite well, as his aunt always instilled in him that he had to look his best, though sometimes that proved to be difficult in his childhood years when he grew in faster spurts. Sébastien is colder more often than not so it wouldn't be odd to see him wearing something fit for warmer weather.
History:
- 1871 :: Sébastien Théodore Montagne was born in Paris, France.
- 1874 :: Élodie Montagne, sister of Théodore Montagne, got engaged and moved with him to London, England.
- 1875 ::
- Théodore & Clara Montagne were killed in a tragic train accident.
- Sébastien was sent to live with his Aunt in London, England as her ward, as she was the closet living relative, being that the Brixton family lived overseas in America. They still sent money over to help raise him and to take care of schooling costs, despite not being physically there. Élodie also received help from the money that she got from her and Théodore's parents.
- Not wanting a child that was not his, Élodie's fiancé broke off the engagement.
- 1878 :: Sébastien showed his first sign of magic while playing outside in the gardens; he was feared to be a Squib, prior.
- 1882 ::
- Sébastien starts his first year of Hogwarts and is sorted into Hufflepuff.
- He finds out he has a fondness for herbology, and spends most of his time outside observing the flora & fauna.
- Sébastien also finds he struggles hard to make friends, and usually keeps to himself by reading in the library or spending time outside, though is incredibly pleasant and agreeable when talked to. So much so, that he easily falls into being good for any sort of schoolyard bullies to be picking on and tricking into doing things as he's too soft to stand up for himself.
- 1884 :: Determines to take Care of Magical Creatures as an elective and finds he likes it almost as much as herbology.
- 1886 ::
- As fifth year comes around, Sébastien determines that it's about time he really starts thinking about what he wishes to do when he leaves Hogwarts. As he spends a lot of time in the hospital wing, either from doing something he shouldn't with the wrong animal, plant or potion or someone playing a joke on him, he starts to drift in the direction of perhaps focusing on healing magic. That way, he figures, he can focus on the things he loves the most and seems to be the most adept at.
- 1889 ::
- Accompanies a close female friend to the Coming Out Ball, which he probably enjoyed more than he'd ever expected.
- Graduates from Hogwarts with his N.E.W.T.s
- Starts working as an intern at St. Mungos under their Potion & Plant Poisoning division.
Personality:
Sébastien can be considered a kind-hearted soul, who feels things on the deepest of levels, meaning, he's highly empathetic. Whether it be his fellow peers, an animal, even a wilting plant, he feels their joy, their sorrow, and it helps him have a good understanding of how to better be a positive force in their life. Of course, just because he means well doesn't mean it always works out, as he's not a mind reader and since he struggles with social cues, it can end up pretty embarrassing. Regardless, he's incredibly loyal and patient, someone you'd want to have at your side just because you know he'd be there when you needed him most. Though, sometimes this makes it easy for people take advantage of Sébastien and his kindness, especially with just how naive he can be. Also, he's quiet and many of his schoolmates might find that it's hard to get his attention sometimes because when he focuses on a book or one of his plants while kneeling down in the grass outside, he'll hyperfocus and forget about everything else around him. Graduating was a difficult time for him, at first, because routine is important and Sébastien had a difficult time adjusting to something different, getting things all mixed up and this left him upset and drained. But he's finding things to be easier again and his superiors, as he's an intern, will find him always eager to help.
Other:
- Sébastien has never met his family from America before, but receives gifts and cards from them on holidays.
- He still lives with his aunt, as he elected to take care of her now that she's a spinster.
- Élodie resents her nephew and blames him for her life not turning out how she wanted it, though he isn't aware of it.
- Sébastien is on the autism spectrum, though obviously it is not diagnosed.
- Identifies as a homosexual, though for obvious reasons he has never told anyone.
Sample Roleplay Post:
It was lonely, being the son of the queen. His mother was so paranoid that he rarely got to see the world outside of the palace. In the rare times that he did, most were too nervous to face her wrath to acknowledge him more than the proper greeting towards him as a young prince. While Ash had gotten used to it, having found other ways to keep himself entertained, he still longed greatly for a friend of his own, just as any child would. Mother, can I go play with the others? he would ask her, glancing towards the other children in their court who would be off doing something silly like chasing each other with sticks, but the answer always seemed to be negative. The Queen gave in a lot to her son's demands, even responded well to his whining, but that was one thing that she didn't bend on no matter what.
Today was one of those mundane days that Ash spent his time hiding behind his mother's skirts as she attended meetings to discuss the Cold Peace, which as he understood it, some sort of silent war thing that went on between his people and the ones beyond. He was just about to announce his boredom for the first time that day when he felt a cold thump on the right side of his neck. "Did you see who threw that?" he asked, bending down to pick up the rounded stone that landed beside him, but his mother didn't seem to hear him as she was still clamoring on about something Ash found irrelevant. It was just then Ash turned and noticed another little boy standing not too far from where they were and a small smile appeared on his face. Was this a potential friend standing over there? He tossed the stone back at him, giggling, then slipped past his mother's skirts towards the other child, careful to be light and airy on his feet to keep quiet.
He recognized this one, if only by face - he was one of the knight's sons, and he was known to be quite a little menace. Ash had seen him a few times while gazing out his window at the younger boys playing with their toy swords, betting on which one of them would be worthy enough to join the royal guard when they were big and strong. "Hello," Ash said quietly, not wanting to alert his mother that he was no longer at her side, knowing that he possibly only had a few moments anyway before she dragged him off to lecture him about his actions, "Did you throw this? I hope I didn't do anything to upset you and make you throw things at me. Because if I did, I'm awfully sorry."
