One of the cheapest homeless shelters in Victorian London charged four pennies to sleep in a coffin. Which was... still better than sleeping upright against a rope? — Jordan / Lynn
If he was being completely honest, the situation didn't look good, but Sylvano was not in the habit of being completely honest about anything. No reason to start now.

Downward Spiral

Jack was taking great care to move as smoothly as he could. He wasn't the most graceful of people, and it did slow his progress considerably, but he would rather go slowly and evenly so as not to make Mrs. Rowle any more uncomfortable. He smiled softly at her, hoping to be reassuring. "A little help every now and then is not the worst." At least he hoped. This was one of those impossible situations where there was nothing else to be done about it either. Jack was more than happy to help, even if his normal methods were not working, at least he had been able to reset her shoulder. Once they got out, he could tend to her more efficiently.

Eva could hardly argue with him--not the least because it was a bad idea to argue with someone who was actively helping her. She was about to say something else when--"Is that the way out?" It was getting progressively lighter, and Eva could hear other people now. Nearly there. The worst was almost over.

"It is indeed. I'll get you pushed as close to the front of the line to get out as I can." Jack could make a good case for it, as he still wasn't sure if it was solely an injury to her ribs or if there was maybe some internal bleeding going on. "Once we're out, we'll get you to the hospital so I can take a closer look." He promised, thinking it would make them both feel a hell of a lot better once they were out of here and at a place where he could more competently do his job. It would be selfish of him to leave the pit today, with his knowledge of muggle methods of wound care and what not, but he was more determined to make sure Mrs. Rowle was seen to properly before he returned.
