Ahn-Bo Jeong
Ahn-Bo appeared beside Jin a moment later, arms full of their old bedroll and the extra blankets, that familiar portkey lurch making his stomach flip. He blinked away the disorientation and took in the sight of his brother already arranging things in the kitchenette. The wolf was content to let Jin-a decorate their home however he wanted. While he appreciated a cozy living space, he was far from skilled at actually making one. It was a surprise when the vampire asked for his opinion—though not an unwelcome one. It did make sense for them to decide on some things together.
“Mmm...” He hummed thoughtfully, scanning the small space. His mother had been very superstitious, and they’d had talismans and everything else she could get from a shaman strewn about their home. Using this as a reference, he said, "Near the entrance,” and nodded toward the wall by the spiral staircase they'd used to exit before. It was the traditional placement—protection at the threshold, warding off anything that might threaten what they were building here.
He moved to place the bedding, unfolding the extra blankets he'd gathered first and stacking them on top of one another on the wooden floor. Then he unfolded their old bedroll and spread it across the very top. It looked right here (even if it was considered odd.) It was threadbare and familiar and carried the weight of their shared history into their new beginning. Standing back, he surveyed his work with a grin. It looked perfectly cozy, and he could already imagine them cuddling up together there without having to worry about anyone else barging in. The space was still sparse, barely furnished, but it already felt more like home than anywhere else he'd lived in since his childhood home. ”What do you think?” He turned toward Jin-a.
