Hospital Headed in New Direction
Collins Takes Over Hogsmeade Director Position
A leadership change is set to take place in December at Hogsmeade Hospital. John “Jack” Collins will be promoted to the director position after his predecessor’s retirement. A former Gryffindor and Hogsmeade resident from its conception, Collins began his career at St. Mungo’s before the founding of Hogsmeade Hospital. For the last twenty years, Collins has worked in the Creature-Induced injuries ward, progressing from intern to Healer-in-Charge, a position he has held for the last five years.
The promotion will be celebrated with a fundraising event held at the Museum of Magical Miscellany in London, on December 6th. The evening will consist of a dinner, ball and silent auction of donated items. Proceeds will be split between the Museum, local children’s charities, and a large portion in support of Irvingly residents impacted by the mist. Miss Miriam Kyprianou, Director of the Museum was pleased to report, “Myself and the rest of the staff at the Museum of Miscellany commend Mr. Collins on his promotion and wish him the absolute best in his endeavors with the hospital. We are also honored to host an event for such a noble cause and hope to raise significant funds by way of a silent auction to help those in crisis after the disaster in Irvingly.” Of the fundraiser itself she added, “Items up for action include several first edition copies of prominent historic novels, magical texts, and antique jewelry owned by various prominent families in our magical history.”
Collins had this to say about the promotion, “I feel incredibly honored to be considered for the position. I will do my utmost to fulfill the role faithfully and diligently, to serve Hogsmeade and the surrounding area to the best of our abilities. I have complete confidence in my staff and the mission of the hospital to provide quality care for our residents.”
