History:
1868: Born in Normandy to a very wealthy family living in a home overlooking the sea. He spent his childhood between the home their and one in Montpellier in the south of France where his parents eventually met the DeCroix family some years later.
1872: First magical incident, while playing with building blocks outside in his garden he somehow managed to restack several of the large heavy stone blocks that made up one of the walls to the garden, forcing it to be rebuilt.
1879: Attends Beauxbatons School. He settles into life there and does well, favouring charms, defensive magics and muggle studies, achieving top marks in the latter.
1886: Graduates from Beauxbatons. He is unsure what his life will hold for the future regards employment as he has the family wealth to do nothing but does not want that life. His father uses his connections to land him a fairly prestigious Muggle liaison officer role in the French Ministry. The previous holder having been taken by cholera during a trip abroad and the role being covered by rotating stand in departmental staff. (This role is equivalent to employee rank in ministry Muggle Liaison Office for purposes of requirements and comparison)
1890:
A brief romance with an officers wife (thankfully never exposed) gave him curiosity in military matters and unofficial friendships within the French military, this translates to his role leaning a little towards suspected muggle/wizard issues in that field.
1891: François, now 21, is informed that his father has promised him a betrothal to a young lady. Her name is Violetta, she is currently thirteen and studying abroad but he is told she is on her way to becoming a beautiful young woman and has the breeding of a good wife. He thinks little of it, having neither the permission nor the intent to descend into the teenager's life and simply waits for more information.
Late 1892: Is involved in narrowly averting a serious muggle-wizard incident and is awarded a medal for distinguished service.
Early 1895: Finally meets his betrothed. Violetta Decroix is bright and beautiful and be finally gets the chance to start knowing her in the gaps between her last term of Hogwarts. He chooses to put behind them several rumours that she might be linked to another man, he isn't so old that he forgets the exploratory feelings of youth.
Mid 1895: He is given ownership of the Dupont household of London by his parents to facilitate he and his betrothed in British society.
Personality:
He tends to calm, balanced and slow to rise in his anger. He does like a drink but can handle his alcohol. He enjoys visiting the United Kingdom and takes a lot of pride in his properties there. He is also fascinated by the differences between the french and British ministries. He doesn't really know Violetta yet but is very taken by her so far and is keen on a marriage. If he had his way he would like to marry sooner but that is not his choice. He has a slight awkwardness with other available women having not really been sure how to behave around them given his betrothal.
