Violetta looked at the yellow sheet of paper in her hand. Five years of her life boiled down into ten letters.

"vers l'avant et vers le haut" Her father might say, this was Violetta's past now and her future awaited her. She was pleased, genuinely, she was excited to be a wife and Monsieur Dupont was as lovely and handsome as everyone had promised her since she was thirteen. She would be very happy, she was very happy and could look back at the days in that castle with a fondness she never thought she might have when she first began.
