Appearance:

Belvina’s appearance is typically that of a beloved doll. As Ursula’s favorite dress up subject, she wears nothing but the best and newest. Her favorite color is purple, but she likes anything in jewel tones, particularly peacock green. Her features are an interesting mix of her biological parents, meaning her hair is just a couple of shades lighter than that of her siblings, though still a pretty mahogany brown. It falls in soft waves naturally but is habitually curled each morning to get them to stay. It takes too long, but she knows she can’t fuss.

Grey-green eyes are often observing everything around her; Belvina sees more than she lets on. With her small stature (currently 4’ 1”) she has mastered the right amount of poise and grace for someone of her age, moving softly and surely; mostly so she can eavesdrop on her brothers without them knowing. Her expressions are kept well in check around adults, but around her peers/brothers she can be more animated. Belvina is right-handed, as expected.

History:

The Unexpected
14th June 1886 Though she does not know it, Belvina’s arrival is under dubious and slightly unwelcome circumstances. It has been A Year for her mother and Belvina is just along for the ride. She is often in Ursula’s care, though there is a nanny hovering nearby just in case.

Childhood Thus Far
Belvina learns at an early age what is expected of her. She is the little family princess; often overlooked by her brothers; her mother’s favorite dress up doll; her father’s nuisance. She does her best to stay out from under Phineas’ feet, though she cannot help but to hold a level of adoration for him, despite his absence from the home ~~and somewhat clear disdain~~. Sirius is met with similar hero-worshipping, though he seems far more attainable and amenable to her affection. She wants his attention, but does not always go about it in a charming manner. She is never quite sure what to make of Phin; he strikes her as a little different from the rest of her brothers (and her mother’s distaste does not help), but not in a bad way. Jury’s still out while she figures out how she actually feels about him. It is strange not to have him home now that he is at Hogwarts for most of the year. Arcturus pays her the most attention as she gets older, but since they are fairly close in age, that makes sense. She does not mind shadowing him around, but it’s mostly for her own amusement rather than his. Cygnus is sort of the bane of her existence, as he usurped her position as baby of the family. This is a hill she is prepared to die on.

As she’s aged, she’s taken to her studies with aptitude and diligence, though she can get bored sometimes if the content is something of disinterest to her and will daydream instead. She takes pride in her piano forte skills, but is not much of an artist otherwise. French seems to be her other natural talent, but she cannot really coerce her brothers into speaking it with her.

Presently
Sirius has graduated and Belvina is thrilled to have him home again more permanently, or so she assumes. She cannot tell how Phin’s first year went, but she will weedle it out of him soon enough.

She has yet to show a sign of magic yet, but she has plenty of time and don't you dare tell her otherwise.

Personality:

OBSERVANT | CHARMING | OVER-INDULGED | NOSYBelvina is the product of having never wanted for anything in her life. Any whim, any notion she has possibly had has been indulged by her mother. She takes advantage only on things she truly wants, but does not often have to ask. Surrounded by brothers, she tends to observe more than “play”, but is curious about what they are doing and so follows them around religiously. A dedicated student, Belvina is practiced in arithmetic and reading, but also in piano forte. She wishes to play the harp too. Still a little girl, she gets swept away with fairy tales and other nonsense, but wants to appear very grown up and tries her best to be everything she ought to be in order to impress her father. She does not have to try as hard with Ursula and actually enjoys her mother’s company, even if she does not always want to be subjected to her mother’s every whim. Not one to throw an overt temper tantrum, thinking herself too mature to have them anymore, she has a pout that usually gets her what she wants and that is all she needs.
