    Sparrow Bloodworth vs. Tybalt Kirke
    Private Thread
After the customary reading of the rules, Charles could finally let the two young men get started. "You may go first, Mr. Bloodworth."

Sparrow had been unable to help being amused at seeing that his first round was against his teammate and co-beater, Tybalt Kirke. "Dont go thinking that I'll go easy on you," he said in good humor as the rules were read and he did the customary greeting.

When he was bid to start, he cast the Conjunctivitis Curse.

"Don't worry, I can take it," Tyb returned with a broad grin, bowing with a flourish and trying not to laugh about having to compete against someone who was his teammate every other day of the week. Few hexes would be as bad as bludgers to begin with; 'course, he would still rather stop any of Bloodworth's attacks before they actually impaired him, so he did his best to conjure up a heavy fog in the space between them to impair the other beater's aim, and perhaps allow himself a chance to dodge.

The fog conjured by Mr. Kirke was visible if a little... thin. Consequently, the only one with impaired eyesight was the aforementioned Mr. Kirke who was hit directly with his opponent's spell. "Mr. Bloodworth takes the first round. Please start the next round, Mr. Kirke."

...Well, take it he did. Wasn't much else to do when one's eyes were swelling shut! Still, getting injured now didn't much matter, since the Howlers had already lost out in the playoffs; winning or losing this duel didn't feel quite so significant, after that!

He would win or lose the next round with something interesting, at least, and so Tybalt, grinning once again, attempted to transfigure Sparrow into the bird of his namesake.
