    Rupert Bingham vs. Kristoffer Lestrange
    Private Thread
Both gentlemen were surely well-versed in the rules but Hamish took great care in reviewing them nonetheless for Mr. Lestrange’s sake. Following, he bid Mr. Bingham to begin.

Rupert was facing off with someone he considered a friend. But also someone he knew that he wouldn't have to go easy on. What good was a friend if you couldn't hex them every now and then? "Furnunculus" he cast. If he hit his mark, Lestrsnge would be busting out in boils.

Kristoffer knew the rules of duelling perfectly well, thank you very much, and he would be happy to abide by them in this case, since he was against a friend. (On the other hand, it would be a shame to lose in the very first duel.) Hopefully he would manage to defend himself and make Bingham's spell rebound on him instead.
Hamish tried not to look too amused as young Lestrange’s face erupted in rather large boils, but instead remained as dignified as he could as he declared Mr. Bingham the winner of the first round.

“Mr. Lestrange,” he announced when the Slytherin had recovered, “you may cast.”

The very sensation of these boils was enough to make Kristoffer want to start whining, but (reluctantly) he maintained his composure, and instead channelled his indignation into his next spell - a stinging hex.

If that didn't work any better, then that was embarrassing.

Rupert decided to go with the jelly fingers jinx.
