    Antigone Lestrange vs. Ligeia Baudelaire

First the rules, then the curtsying and whatnot, and then they could begin!

"Mrs. Lestrange, if you will," Mortimer declared.

But of course her first opponent was her sister. Tig could not be any more confident than she already was that she'd win the duel and fully intended to take her sister's dignity along with it. To her satisfaction, she was to start the duel and she wasted no time at all in trying to transfigure her sister. With all luck she'd make a literal ass out of her.

How lucky Ligeia felt to be given a chance to prove to her sister which one of them was better at dueling. Which she could confidently say was her with the amount of experience that she had and she was always better at everything than Antigone - Ligeia was prettier, smarter and well liked by others. But she wouldn’t let her guard down and go easy on her. Antigone was good with her wand and can be pretty aggressive with her spells. So, she went all out with her spell by as she fired a spell that would transfigure her sister to a smelly skunk.

Wow. These two were especially - creative? They were either imperturbably good-humoured, or there was some slight venom in it. Miss Baudelaire had gained the head of an ass; meanwhile, Mrs. Lestrange was now a full-bodied skunk. Mortimer winced in restrained sympathy (though he did have to bite back a laugh). Carefully - carefully! - he reversed each spell in turn, hoping that Mrs. Lestrange would not celebrate her loss by letting loose any skunk-scent.

"The round to Miss Baudelaire," he said finally, "who may begin the next." Where was there to go from here?
    Antigone: 7 | Ligeia: 10
