Did you know?

First names were most often used by childhood or school friends. If the friendship was made after school age, first names would only really be used by women. Men were far more likely to refer to their friends by their surnames, a mark of familiarity. — Documentation

WANTED:

Emilia Wright for Jude Wright. Casually alienating offspring since 18882.
Separating was also not a great idea, though they weren't doing great at staying together anyway. If she were to volunteer to be the human sacrifice.. well... Hogsmeade had plenty of debutantes anyway...

Falmouth Falcons Fined
Entire Team Charged With Incitement After Quidditch Loss

Law enforcement officials were called to Cornwall late last night following reports that a magically-induced riot had erupted in the predominantly Muggle city. Upon arriving at the scene, Ministry employees found several magical fires, a sentient and aggressive group of Falmouth flags, and a crowd of rowdy Falcon fans. The disturbance began following the Quidditch match and was allegedly started by Falmouth chaser and captain William Buckley, though it is believed that all of the players participated to some degree.

Ministry officials had to quarantine the affected area of the city while they disbanded the crowds, many of whom were placed in temporary holding cells. Damage control and correction continued into the early morning hours, and the memories of at least two dozen Muggles had to be substantially altered. "We're still trying to figure out what they did to enchant the flags," one Ministry official commented. "They appear to be trying to start fistfights with everyone — but given that they don't have limbs, it's hard to say. We have no idea what they meant for them to do, either, which complicates matters; it's very difficult to determine intent when everyone involved seems to have been quite drunk at the start."

Those captured by the Ministry were released earlier today, in most cases without formal charges being pressed. The team members involved have been charged with incitement, as well as violations of the International Statute of Secrecy, but will be allowed to continue their Quidditch careers unhindered provided they pay the required fine for their crimes.

Captain William Buckley has been suspended indefinitely by the Falmouth sponsor. No announcement has been made yet as to who will replace him as Captain, or who will be moving up from second string to play chaser.

The Falmouth Falcons played their third match of the Quidditch season last night, against former league champions Puddlemere United at their home pitch near Cornwall. Falmouth has lost all three matches so far this season, and their loss against Puddlemere was a very narrow one, leading to a lengthier game than is usual this early in the year and a rowdier crowd in general.
