Handsome gave his friend a teasing wink in response to her accusation.

"Just don't take things too seriously, and you'll get by." Which was probably ignorant in some way seeing that he would likely get by as long as he didn't squander away his inheritance, but still, his intentions were good.

Emmeline couldn't help but to roll her eyes in response to his wink.

"You, Mr. Whitledge, are nothing but trouble," she said in a playful tone after having stood up and bopping him gently on top of his head. "I supposed I should be on my way. I've got duty tonight," she gave a small sigh and an over exaggerated sort of bow, "Until next time." And with that, she left the Common Rooms to head on her way.
