"Congratulations on making it as far as you have," Hamish said. If he was disappointed not to have any Hufflepuffs in this portion of the final, he didn't show it. Indeed, the professor was his usual, jovial self as he gave the last two standing the usual information. "You will be crafting an Invigoration Draught, and may begin...now!"

Thomas seemed rather pleased he had made it as far as he did. Even if he failed to win this round, he would look at it as some sort of progress toward his learning goals either way.

When Professor Darrow gave them the go ahead, he set to work gathering his ingredients and mentally going over all he knew about the Invigoration Draught. It seemed like a useful potion, especially to help energize someone who might have gotten a less than adequate amount of sleep. (Or maybe that was just how he'd choose to use it.)

Carefully, he began to brew. When he had finished, he took a step back and waited, quietly surveying his work.

It made perfect sense to Trix that she had found herself in the final with a fellow Ravenclaw but it was also moderately irritating - her chances of winning had plummeted. Still, she set to her task diligently, taking slightly longer to finish than the younger student but producing what she hoped was a fine invigoration potion.

One did not need to be an expert to tell that the consistency, colour, and scent of Miss Borgin's potion was clearly the winner. Hamish declared the young prefect the victor, casting an apologetic smile in young Mr. Montgomery's direction.
