INTRODUCING: MITY

Enmity Wakefield

25 | Ravenclaw '79-84 | MCHB |  Rep 7 Junior Assistant to the St. Mungos Hosptial Director Enmity was just as strange of a child as her name and family might suggest. She certainly wasn't what one would call popular in Hogwarts between her unknown background and her hostility toward new people and circumstances but given enough persistence, the hostility does change to an odd graceless intensity. Sorted into Hogwarts, she left after her fifth year (though slated to graduate in '86) for lack of career or life goals and to ensure her siblings had the school funding they wanted. After Hogwarts, she moved back home and floated through jobs: she spent the first few years at Scrivenshaft’s Quill Shop, then transition to a welcome witch post at St. Mungos in '86, before being promoted to her current position in '88. And there she has remained. Is it her dream job? No. Is she good at it? Yes. Does she have anything she wants to do more? Not really. So there she will assumedly stay. ❧ Friends— Any friend potentials wouldn't care about her less than steller background, the oddity of her family, or the less than sunshine-like personality they face. Likely they would be from her school years (79-84) either in the same year or a year or so above or below, a neighbor, another "I grew up in the CMJ" kid, or a co-worker. Got another idea? Let me know. Once she's on friendly terms she shifts from hostile, to intense, still kind of rude, but there for a friend in a heartbeat no matter what. ❧ Coworkers— Do you know Mity from the quill shop or St. Mungos? She's the kind of person who - in a work environment - people often tolerate because while they don't like her, she gets things done and done well. Do you get along? Does she annoy you? How do you work together? As of the holiday season, she now works under Richard Gladstone and doesn't know how she feels about him or the prior director's retirement. At this point, she is still in hostile defense mode and you may be able to tell. ❧ Family— Are you a Wakefield? How do you get along? Could you be her birth parents? Or related to her birth parents? An NPC Sibling maybe? It is assumed she's the daughter or a prostitute but really that is just speculation. But maybe she is and your character was the mother or the unknowing father? (Or knowing? Maybe mom ditched her on you and you ditched her on Clara?) Maybe she's the kid of some unmarried deb or a bastard child tucked away? Anything really! She was born in '67 and while a newborn upon doorstep drop the actual day isn't known. ❧ Hurls/Interests(?)— Technically, Enmity is of marriage age. That doesn't really mean she's actively looking or it is in her life goals map. She's got the initial approachability of a porcupine or a sea urchin. But nothing is impossible. Life doesn't always respect your plan. Does she fall in love? Does she just agree to marry the first guy who asks regardless of feelings? We shall see. Frankly need marriage to cover something else - maybe you'll appeal to her sense of justice. And the fact she not really got a background to judge most things. ❧ Other?— Ideas? Did you piss off or hurt one of her sisters? How she interacts with you is heavily dependent on if her sisters like you.

@"Zinnia Potts" , who is a year younger, but was also a Ravvie, so I'm sure they knew each other. They also probably would have run into each other while she worked at the quill shop, since you know, Hogsmeade small businesses all seem to know each other. I could see them as friendly? Zin is pretty nice lol

Reg is also her age, also a Ravvie, and honestly she would have seen him a lot at the quill shop since he's a reporter and would go through them like crazy. He might be more weirded out by her family (although he might be on friendly terms with Mal since they work together xD), but I'd be down for a weird friendliness, and a potential, awkward hurl haha.

Delilah Warbeck also works at St. Mungo's and would be friendly with her coworkers. Not sure how she'd feel about Enmity, but she'd give being friendly a whirl.

Ohh her and Reg were not only in the same house but the same year as well though he went longer than her. I don't think she would outwardly show it but I get the sense his - and others - discomfort about her family might give her pleasure. Not maliciously pre say just she would just enjoy it because most of those who would treat her poorly because of it would likely also be uncomfortable. So honestly, regardless of which way it goes, that sounds like it would be a blast.

In regards to Zinnia and Delila: Looking at the map too I think the quill shop is diagonal across the street from the potts as well! I they at least probably ran into each other and were like customer service nice. But I do think she'd likely like Delilah better as I get the impression Mity prefers more down-to-earth people.

Maybe we could start off with a thread with Reg and Mity and Delila and Mity or just one of the two?
