Hi! I'm looking for a brainstorm of books you've enjoyed/heard good things about in the mystery/thriller genre that are either written by a woman or feature a woman as a key character!

I have about a million Ruth Rendall, Val McDermid and Martina Cole suggestions but they are all quite dark'n'shiz so I'm not sure if it's what you're after.

We should totally read some Agatha Christie tho - I'd recommend starting with either Murder on the Orient Express or And Then There Were None!

Orrrr there's Minette Walters and I'd suggest either The Scold's Bridle or The Ice House, both of which are amazing.

The Brighton Mermaid by Dorothy Koomson is told from the POV of a woman, by a woman, and it's a thriller with dead people and missing people and plot twists.

His Fair Assassin by Robin LaFevers is a phenomenal series! Fantasy and the women are the ones doing the murdering sometimes Wink

I can’t remmeber if I’ve recommended it before but I love these books. I discovered them because the author visited my high school when we were studying Women’s Literature and I’ve been hooked ever since!
