The 12 Days of Charming

Ho ho ho! Santa Kayte is here again this year to bring you the 12 Days of Charming. To those new to our ranks (or extra forgetful), 12 Days is, quite literally, twelve days, in which each day brings with it a new challenge, riddle, or puzzle for you to solve. Complete all twelve to earn the 12 Days stamp!

Stamps not your jam? This is for you anyways—each day has two to ten (or on some days, unlimited!) prizes available to be won on a first done, first served basis! I won’t tell you specifically what they are (what would be the fun in that?), but I can tell you that several Charmers have been enlisted as elves and, as always, the December Challenge stamp is buried in there somewhere…

Day I

On the first day of Charming…
A riddle to get the ball rolling!

My Honey’s love I do enjoy, but I was once a wee schoolboy.

Day II

The answer to yesterday’s riddle was Neville Longbottom, the toad-having (amphibian) Gryffindor (lionheart) who got hot (gallant knight) and is loved by Bee (Honey) ;)

Everyone who guessed correctly not only started their streak off well, but earned 5HP for the house of their choosing! Today won’t be so generous, though—there is a limit to the number of prizes I’ll be doling out ;)

Today we’ll have a bit of a writing challenge! With the same character, you’ll need to make two posts (300+ words). They can be journal entries, thread starters, or read-only threads, but one must depict or discuss a Christmas the character experienced in previous years, and the other should be set during the current month, and be Christmas-centric in some way—ghosts of Christmas past and present, you could say ;)

Day III

Yesterday Fallin and Bree each earned a character playlist, courtesy of Beanie (Cassius Lestrange)! In addition, everyone who participated contributed to their streak.

Today is the famed “crossword-ish-puzzle”. Simply solve each clue. The bolded letters will form the final “code word”, but to make things more entertaining to me, you’ll need to provide a gif that matches the code word in order to “win” the day! Lauren was the biggest speed demon, earning prizes on 10/12 days. Beanie gets a “that’s nifty” mention—she participated on two days. She came in first on day one, and ninth on day nine! Spooky.
