One of the cheapest homeless shelters in Victorian London charged four pennies to sleep in a coffin. Which was... still better than sleeping upright against a rope? — Jordan / Lynn
If he was being completely honest, the situation didn't look good, but Sylvano was not in the habit of being completely honest about anything. No reason to start now.

Roberto Devine vs. Augusta Robins
#1
July 24th, 1892 — Headquarters of the London Society for the Practice of Combative Magic

After reading the rules Benedict motioned to Mr. Devine to begin the round. The Quidditch player seemed to have made it through the thick of it, so he was intrigued to see how this duel would turn out.

Roberto recognized the Holyhead Harpy well enough from Quidditch and related events. After the niceties, he cast a disarming spell.

Augusta Robins / Elias Grimstone

Sponsor of the Kestrels, eh? Gus bobbed her head in more of a bow than a curtsey this time, a little more sincerely. “Furnunculus!” she cried – she’d never learned to cast non-verbally, so really she might as well be as loud as she liked. (Hopefully the spell would work better for it.)

Despite the gusto with which the Quidditch player cast her hex, it was to no avail, for her wand flew out of her hand before she could finish the incantation. "This point to Mr. Devine. Miss Robbins, when you're ready please begin our next pass." Benedict announced.

With a glum expression, Gus waited for her wand to be returned to her, still deciding what to do next. Maybe something simple was best? "Rictusempra!" she cried.

This time around, Roberto decided to go for the shield charm.

For a moment, Ben thought that Miss Robin's spell would break through Mr. Devine's shield, however it held fast. The tickling charm bounced off Mr. Devine's shield like a bludger off of a beater's bat and pinged somewhere over Ben's left shoulder. "Mr. Devine shall be the one to advance to the next round!" He announced, clapping for the victor.
