Misplaced Teens Make Their Way Home
Two Missing Persons Return
December 27th, 1889 saw the return of missing Mister Somersby Fudge and Miss Acacia Ruskin to their families. The two had been transported by a rogue portkey in found on Hogsmeade’s High Street on Christmas Eve to Southern England where they were stranded after Mister Fudge’s wand broke. Miss Ruskin’s own wand had been left in the hands of her chaperon. The two reported that they were brought to London by a kind muggle woman they met near where they had been stranded.
While both declined to comment on their misadventure, Miss Ruskin’s father, Mister Martin Ruskin of Hogsmeade said, "I'm relieved to have my eldest daughter home safely. Due to this and other incidents, I sincerely hope the Ministry will do everything they can to figure out where these portkeys are coming from, who is making them, and stop this nonsense."
The Ministry of Magic’s Portkey Office continues to look into this matter and has asked everyone to remain cautious of picking up items that are unfamiliar to them.
