Hello friends!

We have a few events going on this month that you (and/or your characters) might be interested in:

• Thread Roulette with signups closing April 10th
  
• Adult Potion Brewing with signups closing April 12th
  
• April Writing Challenge running for the entire month
  

Also, everyone should bully Olive to get her to set up a movie night so we can get to know some of our new members better ;)

Beginning in May, there will be a modest tweak to the way our IC events are run! In addition to the monthly Member-Run Events threads, we will also be making use of MyBB’s inbuilt calendar system to list…

• Member- and Staff-Organized Events
  
• Full Moons
  
• Hogwarts Week-Ends
  
• Pro Quidditch Matches
  
• Start and End of Term @ Hogwarts and PSYR
  
• Recurring events such as apparition lessons, monthly shindigs, etc.
  

Only IC events will be listed. Things such as Camp Charming and 12 Days will be maintained in threads, as is traditional. How can you view the calendar events?


Click on the “Calendar” button on every page.


You will see the calendar for the current month. You can click on an event (blue) to view its details, or on the top navigation (green) to move from month to month. You can also view a week at a time (red).

Once in the event view, the regular event details will be visible. For now, only staff members and sweeps are able to add events to the calendar—members will continue to post in the monthly events thread and it will be ported over for you. This also means that the monthly events thread still exists for those who prefer to use it!

The form for listing one-shot events has been updated to reflect any necessary changes. Please contact Kayte (Aldous Crouch) to discuss the adding of recurring events.

What does that mean for you? First and foremost, we have an Activity Check coming up on Saturday, May 5th. To ensure you survive, please make sure that...

• Your mini-profile is filled in with height properly formatted
  
• All of your characters have been listed in the Character Directory
  
• Characters made before the last AC have posted at least once this month
  
• This one's more for staff, but that your full profile has been filled in ;)
  

If all of the above are squared away, there should be no reason for you to fall inactive in the upcoming check!  To our new members: the AC requires no work on your part. The staff team simply makes sure the above is seen to!

We are now accepting events for May and, as previously discussed, are porting them over to the board calendar. We already have a bucket full of events geared up, so May should be a good month for characters of any class!
