ACAB | REP 4+ | BALL
What: Rainbow Ball & Fashion Show
Who: Jewell is sponsoring in collaboration with Maison Bellerose
Cost: Yes. Tickets are required for entry, but are affordable to respectable-ish, employed WC people. Target audience is MC. Tickets include unlimited drinks during the event. Bottles to take home can be purchased and are affordable to MC. Pieces from the fashion show available for purchase are accessible to upper-MC. Small accessories available for purchase are affordable for MC.
Where: Hogsmeade Ballroom
Why: To promote Jewell's new line of color-changing cordial
When: May 7th
Jewell's Distillery is unveiling a new cordial (marketed to ladies or for use in mixed drinks) that changes color every half-minute or so, as well as changing flavors. Most of the flavors are pleasant, but a few Bertie-Botts-style ones may sneak in every once in a while. To promote it, they've partnered with Maison Bellerose who will be showcasing a few color-changing wardrobe pieces, as well as selling off color-changing accessories (ribbons, ties, hats, etc). The fashion show will be ongoing at one end of the ballroom while music plays throughout for people to dance and make fools of themselves at the other. The ballroom itself will also be changing colors, but in a very subtle, slow way, not in a nausea-inducing way. If that's all a bit much for you, the upstairs spaces have been left alone so you can get away from the rainbow for a bit ;)
This event does have a ticket price but is all-you-can-drink once inside. Some light snacks will be available but it would be very easy for your character to end up drunk here, especially since the drinks they're serving are sweet.

ACAB | REP 6+ | GARDEN PARTY
What: Marine Garden Party
Who: Daytime event; ACAB can enjoy a walk through the magically created clear tunnel. The Evening Party; MCAB society likely, but just ask!
Cost: n/a
Where: Padmore Park, Shore of the Black Lake
Why: Because Plants.
When: May 8th
Set on the Hogsmeade day for students to enjoy in the afternoon as well! Enjoy a walk under the water through the magically kept bubble tunnel from the boat dock to a floating dock about 50ft out into the lake. Basil Potts has carefully crafted a little underwater garden to see what grows for plants beneath the waves of the lake! You may see some other ~friends along the way.
For the evening party, the docks and tunnel will be strung with fairy lights and the floating dock expanded magically to accommodate a small dance floor. Everything will be covered in flowers from top to bottom. Wisteria and other draped arrangements will dominate the theme and a string quartet will serve for entertainment. Light refreshments and drinks will be served on land.

SEE INSIDE | MUSICAL PERFORMANCE
What: PSYR Graduate Musicale
Who: Hosted by the PSYR to showcase five graduating students. Invited are all PSYR students, their immediate families, graduates and their spouses, potential PSYR students & their parents, and reputable society types of the upper class.
Cost: N/A
Where: Pendergast School, Swallowbury, Irvingly
Why: #yolo
When: Sunday, May 16th; Afternoon
The afternoon will span four hours: two hours of performance by the students with a twenty minute interval, and a 2-hour reception with finger sandwiches, cakes, and tea in the drawing room, whose doors will be open onto the lawn. Featured will be:
MISS CELESTE BEAUCHAMP, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Flastaff Beauchamp of London. She has an excellent singing voice, though occasionally misses notes on the pianoforte. She did not attend Hogwarts, but did proceed to PSYR when she turned 15. Worth noting—she will receive an offer of marriage at interval, though as is proper, will not publicly give answer.
MISS PENANCE AND MISS PUNCTUALITY PRIM, 19, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Orland Prim of Hogsmeade. They will duet on the viola and pianoforte, though when their singing voices come into play, polite audience members will struggle to keep a smile on their faces. Worth noting—Punctuality will, ironically, be tardy returning from intermission, forcing poor Penance to attempt an Aria in her absence. Both girls are betrothed to a pair of cousins, who will be entirely uninterested near the rear of the room.
MISS IVORY CHEN, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simeon Chang of Edinburgh. She is something of a showstopper, in looks, vocal range, and skill on the harp. Though middle class, her family is hopeful that she will be one to watch this season.
MISS ELIZA ST CLAIR, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Florian St Clair of London. She rather fades into the background for the most part, but at least knows better than to try to sing. Her skill on the pianoforte is genuinely impressive, and she will be noted at the reception in conversation with a handful of gentleman (watched over by her mother, of course!)

Emrys Selwyn - April 28, 2021
ACAB | REP ANY | ART SEX PARTY
What: Life of Zeus - Episode II
Who: Emrys is hosting; invited is basically the same crowd as Episode I but slightly more exclusive, both because the staging of this episode is a bit racier and because Emrys is more careful about his reputation than most people who run in these circles. Basically, if you attended the first event and had to be obliviated/drugged or brought someone who had to be obliviated/drugged, you can't come to this one.
Cost: None
Where: Emrys' home, Bristol
Why: For the love of orgies erotic theater.
When: 15 May
The theatrical portion of the evening covers Zeus' marriage to Hera in the first act, a brief intermission, and then Hera's rebellion in the second act. It has some BDSM elements but it's staged in a classy way because this is art (people just happen to be naked for portions of the art). Reception to follow includes plenty of spaces to steal away with your fellow partygoers of either gender, people passing around magical party drugs and lots of alcohol, etc. Anyone who seems to be Not Chill about this will be asked to leave as soon as they're discovered, after either an obliviation or a mind-erasing drug cocktail, depending on which bouncer catches you.
The waitstaff for this event start out fully clothed by as the reception wears on different articles of clothing will become invisible. All of the food available is laced with mild magical aphrodisiacs. The downstairs portions of the house and about half the upstairs rooms are unlocked and freely available for people to make out in; Emrys' room and a handful of others with ~secret things are locked and you can only enter them if Emrys lets you in.

Why: Yeeting the Seventh Years Into Society
When: May 29
Hogwarts' Seventh Year students will debut, led by Head Girl Frida Lestrange down the main stairs. Otherwise the theme is mostly This Is A Ball, the Hogwarts board of governors aren't into theming. At midnight, the seventh year students will leave Hogwarts just as they arrived, on enchanted rowboats crossing the Black Lake.

Cecilia Lupin - May 2, 2021
UCPB | REP 7+ | BALL
What: Cecilia Bulstrode's Coming Out Ball
Who: Cecilia's aunt shall be hosting. The party itself is intended for those that are deemed socially suitable for Cecilia to interact with - and, more importantly, the eligible men of such society that would be acceptable for Cecilia to marry.
Cost: N/A
Where: Bulstrode Residence, London - the ballroom has had enchantments casted to make them bigger.
Why: Marriage? Future socialite connections?
When: May 31st
As a play on the fact that summer is to begin the season, the theme is ironically winter based. Enchanted to have a pleasant - not overpowering - frost in the air that should be to everyone's comfort level. The ceiling casts down snow that can be felt, shall melt, yet will not get anyone wet. The walls are lined with bare trees and more decorative snow flake designs.

Angelica Selwyn - May 14, 2021
MC/UCAB | REP 6+ | Wine Festival & Ball
What: Veni, Vidi, Vino - The Wines of Italy
Who: Hosted by Lorenzo Corvo (father of Angelica Vorona nee Corvo) and his shipping company, Rook and Raven.
Invited are mostly the upper classes or middle class with money to burn as well as possible investors/purchasers.
Also, anyone looking to "see or be seen"
The dress code is formal and guests are encouraged to dress to match the Roman theme or showcase a neoclassical alternative. While the sculpture and artwork are in the traditional styles, guests are expected to arrive (and to remain) fully clothed throughout the event. Guests unable to control themselves in the presence of art and alcohol will be removed.
Cost: Free, with the unspoken assumption that being there means you can afford to bid on expensive vintages.
Where: Palazzo Corvo, the Corvo's London residence is a smaller English replica of their Palladian villa in Veneto. Both the extensive gardens and family art gallery home will be on display.
Why: Reminding people you're rich and successful is fun! Showcasing the wealth of new wines and spirits imported by the Corvos as well as celebrating the artistic achievements of the Italian Masters (which is basically code for "we own amazing stuff, be jealous"). Oh, and all the Corvo children and their
When: Sunday, May 9
"I came, I saw, I drank wine." Lorenzo Corvo is hosting a Roman-themed ball and wine festival to showcase the newest shipments from his Italian reserves. Beginning in the early afternoon, the marble fountain (a magical replica of the Trevi) gracing the house facade will greet guests with hearty cheers of 'hail!' and 'Ave!' As the sun sets, the fountain's contents will be replaced with Prosecco. Guests are highly encouraged not to dive in as the dolphin statues are rather territorial.
The main gardens will be fully lit and some of the finer statues have been moved outside to entertain the assembled guests. The ballroom and traditional etiquette will be observed and can be enjoyed indoors. The ballroom is open to the out of doors and music can be heard throughout. Various stations with different wines are available throughout the garden. Servants resemble the marble statues throughout and will serve a wide variety of traditional delicacies to match the wines as they are presented.
Keen observers of the Classics will recognize magic Canovas (Venus Italica, Terpsichore, The Three Graces) on prominent display. The prized jewel of the collection, Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss, is featured prominently on a dais above the ballroom protected by a bevy of spells. A prudent senior member of Mr. Corvo's staff reminds guests that pointing out the Greek influences in Greco-Roman design would be best served to keep their opinions to themselves.

Ophelia Devine - May 20, 2021
ACAB | REP 4+ | SPORT EVENT
What: Quaderash Exhibition Match
Who: Ophelia hosting via The Phoenix Society with some backing from Thom Pettigrew.
Participants are UC/MC female society types, primarily young married women but a few unmarrieds might slip in.
Spectators can really be anyone who wanders in, though particularly disreputable types may be asked to move along. There will be stand seating for UC/MC and standing room for MC/WC.
Cost: Yes to participate because you're helping sponsor (accessible for MC/UC women); no to spectate. Betting is highly discouraged.
Where: Exhibition Pavillion at Padmore Park
Why: Ophelia doing married ladies things and being vaguely supportive of her husband's Quidditch interest~
When: May 22, 1891
What's Quaderash?
The "red" team and the "blue" team will face off in an exhibition match in Padmore Park, while their friends and family and anyone else who takes a particular interest watches from the stands/ground below. The match will last around 90 minutes before someone catches the snitch. There will be a vendor selling Quaderash sets behind the stands if anyone feels particularly inspired to bring one home, and they're even being sold at the wholesale cost so it's quite a bargain! Thom may be trying to cash in on everyone's hesitation about Quidditch right now to push his more genteel alternative sport, nbd.
