Properly holds herself to the standards of a Hogwarts House Matron and governess, however can be seen as a bit of an oddity given her contentedness to keep to herself at timesResidence: Hogwarts School

Standing at a good 5' 4", Andromeda stays just outside the run of the mill height of the Victorian Era woman. She has dark hair that, when un-done, reaches to the small of her back in billowy waves. She has sharp blue eyes, keen to catch everything that crosses her vision. Sometimes she wears spectacles, though mostly when she's reading.
Andromeda prefers blue/silver blue tones for outfits and often has her hair in a simple updo. Her wand arm is her right.
{ CHILDHOOD }
What began as a friendship between co-workers luckily blossomed into something more. Victor Chamberlain and Apolline Moreau both worked at the British Ministry of Magic after their respective schoolings; Victor as an employee and Apolline as the Welcome Witch. The French witch had come to Britain in hopes of improving her English. Daily pleasantries turned into an attraction between the two, which led to courtship, and from then on - marriage.
The couple would then go on to reside in a small, modest town in England. Their first and only daughter would be born Andromeda Delphine Chamberlain – a small and quiet child who minded her parents, giving them little cause for stress until it became time for her to show a sign of magic. She was incredibly late in doing so, not that the girl could help it. The day finally came when Apolline walked in and found her daughter gaping up at the ceiling. Following Andromeda's gaze, Apolline found the cat stuck to the top of their bookshelf. Her Hogwarts letter came that next day.
{ HOGWARTS }
Her first year at Hogwarts was rather difficult. With Andromeda growing up in a bilingual household, she found her accent to be somewhat of a topic that her classmates liked to make fun of. It was therefore that she spent a lot of her time in the library where talking was very much frowned upon, so the other children couldn't make fun of her. Unfortunately for her, that didn't prevent children from whispering taunts at her from across the table. After a week or so of enduring this, she encountered a firey Irish student who came to her rescue and defended her from being further verbally assaulted. The two girls became quick friends, and in return as thanks, Andromeda helped Aideen throughout their years with her French.
As the years progressed, Andromeda came into her own, priding herself in her roots and ability to pick up other languages quickly. She soon mastered Spanish, Italian and Latin, as well as becoming accomplished in a few other womanly arts - namely playing piano and drawing. As she quickly became known for her drawings in their year, Andromeda gave in when a few of her classmates asked if she could give them drawing and piano lessons. The Ravenclaw soon found that she was quite good at teaching, and in fact, enjoyed it immensely. It was then that she nursed the idea of perhaps becoming a teacher or governess.
Summer going into fifth year saw Andromeda receive a prefect's badge - immediately she floo'd to Addy and found that her best friend had also received a prefect's badge, which set the year off perfectly for the two girls. In her fifth year, she decided to add on Ancient Runes and Arithmancy.
Her sixth and seventh years passed with little consequence and she graduated Hogwarts as the Ravenclaw Seventh Year Prefect with fairly good grades.
{ POST-HOGWARTS}
Her first year out as a debutante produced little luck, and after the next few failed seasons, the former Ravenclaw turned to tutoring the neighborhood children on their vacations. Soon after, she accepted a full-time position as a governess. Her multi-lingual abilities proved her a suitable candidate for teaching the children proper grammar in addition to manners, womanly arts, literature, and general education. A few more years passed before she met a healer named Alexandre Delacour. The two became fast friends, much like Andromeda's parents, and soon after Alexandre asked Victor and Apolline if he could court their daughter. The two happily conceded and appropriately after Andromeda and Alexandre's courtship is over, the two were engaged to be married.
{ MARRIAGE }
The Delacours enjoyed a happy marriage, filled with friendship, love and mutual respect – a marriage that Andromeda knew she was lucky to experience. She enjoyed her first few years spending her days sketching, painting, playing the piano and visiting her family often. Soon, however, she grew restless and at the suggestion of her husband, occasionally volunteered as a governess for the next few years. Andromeda considered herself lucky to have been able to live such a contented, genial life.
{ LOSS }
Andromeda's first experience of loss came in the form of a favorite pupil of hers who suddenly perished in potions accident. Andromeda fell into a depression, thinking that the student's ignorance was her fault. Following the loss, Andromeda took a break from being a governess. In an attempt to cheer her up, Alexandre purchased his wife a cat to keep her company.
Sadly this instance of losing a loved one was not to be a singular event. Soon after the gift of Lunette, word reached Andromeda that Alexandre had perished whilst traveling for business. She learned he had died protecting children from a society event gone terribly wrong; Upper-Class parents had insisted upon a birthday for their child and sought to bring entertainment in the form of wild animals. In a foolish attempt to save a few galleons, the family had hired a trainee Magizoologist, which resulted in the animals escaping and killing nearly half of the party. It was whilst attending to a few of the children's injuries that Alexandre had perished.
{ WELCOME HOME }
With her best friend gone from this earth, Andromeda entered mourning for far longer than required. She would go on to still wear black often, especially on the days where she missed her husband. With being a widow, Andromeda stayed in Paris to continue her governing after her mourning period was over. It was then when being in Paris became too much, that Andromeda received a letter from her best school friend, Aideen, who had recommended her for the position of Ravenclaw Matron. She applied to the position and was quickly accepted, much to her surprise. Unbeknownst to her, there was a communication error and she showed up an entire year earlier than expected.
So much for a great first impression...
– BITING WIT – SARCASTIC – GENTLE – MATERNAL – SUFFERS NO FOOLS –
Ever the Ravenclaw, Andromeda's favorite past-time is reading; among those are famous French authors such as Proust, Dumas, Hugo, and de Maupassant, which she can be found reading from time to time. Though confident in her knowledge of schooling and governing pupils, she is a cautious one, knowing that there are times when the children are the ones teaching her rather than the other way around. She is always open to learning new things – especially listen and debate with those who have different opinions – however, she should not be mistaken for a pushover and will seek order when called for.
In mixed company she is reserved and often content to listen and observe before inserting herself into a conversation, however, she can be prone to overthinking, especially in new company. At present, she presents a solemn figure; she missed her best friend and is currently still recovering from losing him so suddenly. She is determined to press on regardless and keen to be content with her position in life.
