UCAB* | REP 6+ | BALL
What: Crime! At the Ball
Who:
A wealthy, but a bit nervous, widow is hosting for the majority of the upper class. Later in the evening, the Constabulary will be called in.
Cost: —
Where: Wellingtonshire, Hogsmeade
Why: I needed the thread premise.
When: August 24th
A completely ordinary and benign ball takes a turn when the hostess discovers her great-grandmother's prized tiara is missing from where it was displayed in the solarium on a statue's head. She immediately sealed off all exits just after midnight (there was already an anti-apparition charm on the house) and will not let anyone leave until the local constabulary catches the culprit.

Cost: —
Where: Ministry of Magic Atrium
Why: There's an election coming
When: August 1st at 3 o'clock
Invested parties are to trickle into the Ministry of Magic atrium in time for the demonstration to begin at three o'clock. Peaceful, of course, but ladies can become heated when truly inspired.

Quincey Honeyduke - July 22, 2023
ACAB | REP n/a | WEDDING
What: Honeyduke-Potts Wedding
Who: Laurel Potts on behalf of the happy couple
Where: Wildflowers rooftop, Diagon Alley
Why: wedded bliss y'all
When: August 20th, 1893
Invitation open to friends and family of Quin and Dahlia, there will be a ceremony held on the rooftop garden of Daffy's shop with a reception to follow. The garden has been transformed into Dahlia's dream white wedding with some pops of peach and purple for Quin. An arch has been erected in the corner with white flowers spilling from every nook and cranny. A long family-style table will seat everyone and be vanished once dinner is done. The newlyweds have made their own wedding cake because that is what they do. Be prepared for some fireworks and other celebrations after sundown!

ACAB | ANY REP | PERFORMANCE
What: The Tale of the Three Brothers
Who: See Below
Cost: Ticket costs range from 2 knuts (very back) to 5 sickles (best seats).
Where: Hogsmeade Hall
Why: An activity for the children, Obvi!
When: August 18 & 19
A puppeteering group is putting on a production of the famous story by Beedle the Bard for two performances only: Friday and Saturday afternoons. Aimed at the younger set and their families, but anyone is welcome! The production boasts lavish sets and large puppets (think muppets moreso than Punch & Judy) , with complicated charmwork making it more immersive than it might be otherwise.

ACAB | ANY REP | MINI-BALL
What: Fairy Tale Masquerade
Who: Anyone who attended the puppet show.
Cost: Admission is included in your puppet show ticket!
Where: Hogsmeade Hall
Why: Traumatize the Children, Obvi
When: August 19 @ 7 o'clock
Saturday evening, Hogsmeade Hall will be enchanted to look like a magical forest, featuring various puppeted characters from fairy tales courtesy of the performance troupe from earlier in the day! Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favourite fairy tale character and come for dancing, snacks, exploding snap, and gobstones!
Oh, and anyone still there when the evening officially ends at 10 o'clock will be possessed by the spirit of whatever character they've chosen to embody, thanks to the jinxed pins they've been given on entry. This will wear off only if the jinx on the pins is removed OR they remove the pins—but part of the jinx is that the pins are of great value and import so they don't want to ;)

Seneca Lestrange - July 30, 2023
UCPB*| REP +7| BALL
What: Garden of Mysteries Party
Who: Hosted by the Lestranges
Invited are mostly UCPB people with the exception:
- Notable upper class halfbloods.
- Notable middle class purebloods.
Where: The Lestrange estate in Oxfordshire
Why: To show off their wealth and hurl Seneca at UCPB bachelors.
When: August 12th
The Lestranges are hosting a ball, outwardly for the hell of it, but actually because they have an unmarried daughter they want to show off: Seneca.
The party's theme is "Garden of Mysteries" -- think something along the lines of a Midsummer Night's Dream meets that Rothchild Surrealist Party. The theme is not really to dress as animals, but more that creepy rich people vibe. Dress code wise, both muggle ballroom and wizarding fancy robes are encouraged.

Emilia Wright - July 31, 2023
UC/MCAB | REP +6 | ACADEMIC SALON
What: Academic Salon
Who: Hosted by Emilia Wright, invited at magical academic types. Mostly UC and MC, but 1-3 WC people who have made a name for themselves in these circles would get an invitation.
The way I see it, the invitations would be as follows:
If you're UC and upper middle class: because you'd run in the same circles as Emilia, if she merely knows you have ~academic interests, you'd be invited.
If you're lower MC and WC: because Emilia likely wouldn't personally know you, she'd only invite you if you are a known academic, have published papers, or a UC/upper MC person invited you as a +1.
Cost: Not really, but those in attendance can donate to a Hogwarts scholarship fund that Emilia is keeping.
Where: The Wright family estate, somewhere in England
Why: So the brightest minds can gather and talk science.
When: August 20th
Emilia Wright is hosting a salon for Britain's brightest minds! Come discuss all manners of magical academics -- potions, spellwork, magical theory, herbology, magical creates, etc. There will be different rooms of the house where people can gather based on topic. Come share your theories, learn from others, perhaps even get in a heated debate with fellow academics!

Cecily Gallivan - August 1, 2023
ACAB | REP +7 | HOUSE PARTY
What: Cecily Gallivan's 23rd birthday
Who: Hosted by the Gallivans. Invited are:
- Other Quidditch sponsors and their families.
- Everyone who plays for the Chuddley Cannons.
- Former Cannons players that are still friendly with the family.
- Prominent first string players from other teams.
- Misc. Quidditch related people that the Gallivans may know.
- Any friend of the Gallivans, whether they're Quidditch related or not.
Where: The Gallivan's home in Northern Bartonbourg, which they'd probably charmed to fit all these people.
Why: To celebrate Cee's 23rd birthday.
When: august 29th
Cee Gallivan, sister of the Cannons' sponsor, is turning 23! They have invited their friends to celebrate her at the Gallivans' residence in North Bartonburg. There will be a dinner, followed by a soiree of music and party games!
There probably won't be any chaos breaking loose at this party, but you never know.

U/MCAB* | REP +7 | TEA PARTY
What: A Charming Tea Party
Who: Hosted by Charlotte Quibbleberry & Emilia Wright
* Invited would be predominantly upper class people with reputations of 7 and above, but some prominent upper middle class people would be invited too.
Where: The Wrights' country home
Why: To have tea and show off your Charm skills
When: August 15th
Charlotte and Emilia are hosting a tea where, apart from socializing and having enjoyable conversation, guests will be encouraged to show their skill in Charms. The room will be set up in such a way, that there will be empty space in the middle, so whoever is feeling brave or show off-y enough, will be able to showcase their skill.
There is no limit to your spellcasting, ensuring, of course, that you don't set the place ablaze! But you're of course encouraged to do so cause what fun is it if you don't?

BY INVITATION | POLITICAL SALON
What: Ministry Salon
Who: Oz is hosting and invited (some of) the department heads, assistant heads, and other leadership type people. Some areas are notably absent from the invite list and it's not clear if they were intentionally excluded or if Oz forgot those existed/did not consider them important. There is also one (1) woman on the invite list despite this gathering being hosted in a typically male space. Was she invited intentionally to be progressive? Did whoever was sending invitations just not realize she was a woman? Was she invited at all or did she just show up? No one knows and Oz is dodging questions on the subject.
Cost: No
Where: A parlor in London which is available to let for events, with the same general vibe as a gentleman's club — billiards, brandy, cigars, etc.
Why: Ostensibly a venue for Ministerial authorities to discuss their Most Pressing Issues and for Oz to nod sympathetically and promise to address them should he be elected. He is not entirely sure what is actually expected of him here, it just seemed like a Thing to Do when campaigning.
When: 12 August 1893 (afternoon, pre- any balls occurring)
No specific details, feel free to riff!
