Appearance:

Small and petite with little curves to boast of, Eva stands at a modest 5'0", and is not likely to exceed above 5'1" - if any. Thick, golden blonde hair falls to the middle of her back in subtle waves, most often arranged in a braided hairstyle of her choice. Light blue eyes are set in a pale, heart-shaped face along with a narrow nose and small lips. In terms of style, Eva has a slight preference for the traditional wizards robes as opposed to the bustle fashions of the era. Her style is light, simple, and feminine, favoring blues, whites, and pinks. Lastly, she wields a wand with her right hand.

History:

SUMMER OF 1871 | Evangeline's existence was, overall, a pleasant surprise for the Herondale family. With their eldest set to graduate Hogwarts the following year and the simple fact of Mrs. Herondale's advancing age, there was little reason to suspect that their already large family wasn't done growing, but Eva's birth in mid-1871 proved quite the opposite, and she had joined the family as the last and final child in early July. As with the rest of her siblings, she was assigned a flower at birth - the white violet, meaning "innocence, happiness".

YEARS 1872 - 1876 | Largely tended to by an efficient nanny - and later, a governess - Eva's childhood growing up in London had been idyllic one. While she was considered to be a rather sweet child by many, her quiet nature and tendency to be more within her own head, had been some cause for concern by her parents. Though they had hoped that with time and maturity that Eva would eventually grow out of it, and combated their worries with attempts to socialize her with other children - with varying success, though Eva did make a good, life-long friend in the process.

Though far too young to remember it, her twin siblings, Eloise and Riff, departed for Hogwarts where they were both sorted into Gryffindor, respectively.

AUTUMN OF 1877 | Though her siblings were all a bit older than she was, Eva had never truly felt the effects of it until Lily, the sibling whom she is closest to despite their five year age gap, left for Hogwarts that September. A change that, while saddening for the then six-year-old, had proved prudent as Eva's nanny was promptly replaced by Lily's governess, and it was from this diligent - if not, long-suffering - instructor that Eva learned the finer points of being a lady of good breeding - when she wasn't daydreaming, that was.

SPRING OF 1879 | Eva showcases her first act of magic by creating the illusion of a magical forest in her bedroom, reminiscent of the one she had been reading about in her fairy tales at the time.

SUMMER OF 1880 | Eloise and Riff graduate Hogwarts. Where her sister had elected to follow a more traditional path and join society as a debutante, her brother decides to focus more on honing his engineering talent.

SUMMER OF 1882 | Eva receives her acceptance letter, and in an uncharacteristic burst of excitement, persuades her and Aurelia's governess to take them shopping on High Street the same day. Her favorite part of the shopping excursion by far had been the purchase of her wand from Ollivander's - a pliant, 9 ¾" Acacia wood wand with a fairy wing and unicorn tail hair blend.

SEPTEMBER 1882 - MAY 1883 | Armed with a trunk full of supplies and a feline she had named Luna, Eva departed for Hogwarts where she'd been sorted into Ravenclaw. She had received a rather enthusiastic welcome by Aurelia - as Lily insisted on being called by now - resulting in various Ravenclaw-esque presents and little trinkets, which Eva had found more amusing than outright embarrassing.

A bright, if not quiet pupil, Eva had been perfectly content to allow the more extroverted students to take the lead, though could occasionally be coaxed into participating when the subject was of some interest to her - particularly in Astronomy, Charms, and Art.

SEPTEMBER 1883 - MAY 1884 | Second year began with little fanfare, though ended with the happy occasion of Aurelia's graduation and subsequent debut in the summer. Following in the footsteps of their eldest sister, she became a debutante, though has a far more successful first Season, capturing the eye of a one Garrett Wallingford, one of James' many Ministry connections. Though the relationship was young still, Eva could tell that from the way she smiled and dreamily spoke of him that Aurelia was quite taken with this gentleman, and had found it all very romantic - especially when they had started courting by the end of summer!

SEPTEMBER 1884 - MAY 1885 | Eva had chosen Divination and Ancient Studies as her OWL electives. She discovered that she has rather an affinity for the former, and takes it up as a hobby in addition to her artwork and Astronomy.

SEPTEMBER 1885 - MAY 1886 | With the exception of Aurelia's engagement to Mr. Wallingford soon after the holidays, there was little about Eva's fourth year worth noting about.

SUMMER OF 1886 | Eva's return home for the summer came with it Aurelia's wedding in June, where she'd been allowed to be one of the bridesmaids. Though happy for one sister, she couldn't help but feel sympathy for the other. At twenty-four and with six unsuccessful Seasons under her belt, Eloise was still sadly - and surprisingly - unattached, which Eva thought was no easy feat to bear, especially with a younger sister now married.

SEPTEMBER 1886 - MAY 1887 | Quite fine with having been overlooked as Prefect, Eva passes her OWL exams with the following scores:

SEPTEMBER 1887 - PRESENT | Eva continues on to NEWT-level with Astronomy, Ancient Studies, Art, Charms, and Divination. The material is tougher, of course, but Eva finds that she focuses much better in the subjects she's interested in, and as a result, doesn't find it quite as taxing. Though still, she looks forward to returning home for the summer soon, with plans to focus on her artwork and spend time with her family - especially with Aurelia, who had given birth to her first child back in October, a niece whom Eva had found strange at first but now absolutely adores.

Personality:

INFP. Eva struggles with ADHD (inattentive, not hyperactive), and while it's not as prevalent as it was in her younger years, it is still evident in her school work - particularly before her NEWTs. Curious. Idealistic. Prone to daydreaming. Empathetic. Adaptable. Imaginative. A love of fiction literature - particularly fairy tales, legends, and myths. Creatively-inclined. Social when she wants to be, but generally doesn't make the first move - some may initially interpret this as shyness, but Eva simply sees little use in small talk. Lighthearted. Easygoing. Her ability to see how people and events are connected combined with her tendency to daydream can sometimes lead to a rather insightful mind, and she's done fairly well in Divination over the past few years.
