While she is a debutante in title, in reality, she doesn't actually do such a great job at it. She's bad at putting herself out there, she freezes up if someone so much as looks at her, let alone speaks to her. And her family's pushing for their only daughter only makes the whole thing worse.

She is not really known for being that socially graceful or posed. Throughout Hogwarts, she kept to herself and there was a rumor that she'd barely spoken 15 words her whole time there. And well there was an attempt to force her to socialize by her mother for her debut that didn't go so well. Nor has anything after it.

Virgil Daphnel | Father
"A reclusive academic, she used to like him regardless until two years ago when he seemingly decided that the concept of trying to find his daughter a match was just too much to handle and left for a research trip to Thailand and still hasn't returned, leaving her mother and brothers to deal. Now he is a bit of a sore subject and there isn't really anything that will shut her down as quickly."
Kate Daphnel | Mother
"Defacto favorite parent. She does love her mother really, but she's pretty sure there might be a chance her mother might be at the end of her wits with Bea. The pressure Kate puts on Bea is starting to push her to crack."
Victor Daphnel | Brother
"Victor is likely the brother most involved in her life, especially after Virfil up and disappeared. He's taken charge of her social life (between him and Kate, she actually has names on her dance card) and she feels quite bad that she can't be more useful, especially when she's reminded he is also of marrying age but she takes up to much of his time for him to do anything about finding someone for himself."
Melvin Daphnel | Brother
"Her middle brother, though still older than her."
Oscar Daphnel | Brother
"As bad as it sounds, she was quite grateful when Oscar graduated. His shinangans sometimes, briefly relieve the pressure off her when he distracts their mother. "

General | Average in every sense of the word, Bea is an expected five foot one, with dark hair, dark eyes, and a heavier set build. The only likely notable trait about her is the scattering of freckles across her face  and arms.

Expressions |With those inside her circle, primarily her immediate family and a small handful of friends, she is bright and very much an open book. Outside that circle, she rarely expresses more than a pip of the overwhelming fear and paranoia that drive her every interaction.

Deportment | Bea, while average in height, is small in stature and often tries to take up the least amount of space possible. Her shoulders curl the more she is stressed with a base level far less straight than any governess would ever approve. Just as well she often finds herself drifting towards the edge of crowds and towards the door if a quick getaway is ever needed.

Fashion | Much to her disappointment, her wardrobe has been filled with dresses with far flashier colors than she’d prefer - assumedly her mother’s attempt at drawing attention when nothing else about her does. The whole charade makes her feel like a fake when she has been drawn up in eye-catching jewel tones rather than the more pastel and earthy shades she is naturally drawn to. The same applies to the patterns and style of her dress as well. She does have a select handful of her own choices she is permitted to wear around the house and with permission, on a few outings.

Accessories | Her accessories tend to fall in the same categories as her dress, though Kate always insures it remains… tasteful. Often donned in gold over silver, she does have a soft spot for a charm bracelet that was given to her collectively by her brothers upon her return from Pendergast's. She acquires new charms for it rarely, most often on trips or other significant occasions.

Scent | She wears a faint perfume that smells of cinnamon and oranges.

1873-1884 Childhood	The third born, and soon proven, only daughter of the Daphel family, Bea grows up wanting for little except possibly a single place to settle. Her childhood is spent much at her academic father’s whims when not at the estate or the Hogsmeade house after ‘82, bouncing around the world in flights to his multitude of interests. This is continued even after Victor and Melvin are off to school. But in honesty, she prefers the trips as only there is she not expected to interact with others and is allowed to withdraw to her books and stitch work.
1884-1889 Hogwarts	Hogwarts sees a sudden shift and her once timid nature is found to be far far more when she finds it isn’t just that she prefers her own company or dislikes talking, but she literally just cannot talk to others. In fact, she doesn’t say a word until the second week of school after a professor, believes she is ignoring him, gives her a slap across the knuckles with a ruler, and orders her detention. Bea does eventually make a friend or two but spends most of her time in school as an underlie underwhelming presence that wouldn’t be surprising if you didn’t even remember her. In regards to her academics, she finds herself with quite decent grades, but this is more due to the sheer amount of time she spends studying to avoid interacting with others rather than her possessing a natural level of high intelligence. In her third year, she adds on ancient studies and ancient runes as her electives. But it is decided long before Beatrice even gets to attempt her O.W.L. exams that she will never sit her N.E.W.T.s. Her social anxiety has gotten worse over the years and Hogwarts has clearly not fixed it. They will try Pendergast.
1889-1890 Pendergast's	Pendergast is both better and worse than Hogwarts was. She feels young and a little bit out of place among all the well-mannered, well-spoken girls she now lives among. But she is well mannered and knows what to do, as long as it doesn’t require speaking. And after a bit of time to settle in, she seems to fair better with the other girls socially than she did at Hogwarts, but any outing or formal dinner where she is forced to interact without the crutch of her roommate or her mother and brothers proves it has done nothing to cure her anxiety. Kate decides she will not be returning the following year. It will be better to cut their losses and give her more seasons to attempt the impossible.
1890-1892 Seasons	Her debut is a small, mundane affair the night she returns from Pendergast that reflects the faith that far mother has in her social abilities. It is a dinner and cards (something which, in, theory should be quite low stress until her mother introduces rotating partners to the mix so instead she spends the whole night stressed and stuttering if she manages to talk at all). She’s quite certain to reinforce society's image of her and throughout her first and second season, she never quite escapes the mousy label and is often not given a first or second look. With her third season coming up, between her own feelings of being an utter failure and the increasing familial pressure, Bea starts to feel an overwhelming sense of desperation to do something.
