History:

Timeline

Autumn 1860 - 1870	Richard is the first and, ultimately, last child to be born into the Evermore family, English expatriates in Halifax, Canada at the time. His childhood is largely unremarkable until his father’s passing, not long before Richard’s tenth birthday. After affairs are settled, the pair relocate to England, where they reside with his maternal grandparents.
Autumn 1872 - Spring 1873	Richard departs for Hogwarts, where he is sorted into Gryffindor. He takes well to his studies, in particular Transfiguration.
1873 - 1879	Though he earns no particular accolades, Richard performs admirably throughout his school years, making a coupe of close friends and not overtly disliked by anyone. When he leaves Hogwarts, it is with high marks and higher personal expectations.
1880	A carriage accident returning home from a celebration at the new year breaks Richard’s arm and his mother’s neck, tragically killing her. Having learned less than ideal habits from past parental deaths, Richard leaves the country following her funeral.
1880 - 1891	Richard makes his way around the world, studying the magical lore of eastern Africa and southern Asia, in particular. He even returns to Canada a couple of times, but does not set foot upon the shores of the British Isles for more than a decade.
Early 1892	The news finds him that his distant cousin—who Dick has never actually met—perished during a tragedy at some resort or another, and he rather drags his heels returning ‘home’ to Hogsmeade.
June 1892	Richard arrives in Wellingtonshire, where he takes up residence at his late cousin’s Wellingtonshire residence with his widow and daughters. His initial resolve to wrap matters up quickly, it seems, will not bear fruit.
