RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Bonnie Greyback - January 16, 2025

"Get in!" Blair yelled gleefully as they saw their strikes hit home, adding a little happy expletive that father might use but not approve of his daughter using. The red haired teenager turned round charging back into the frey sending another Bludger out as fast as they could find a free one in mid air.

Whack

Another puff heading right towards Caspian Pettigrew hoping to give another of the greens a dusting of blue.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Abraxas Crabbe - January 16, 2025

Another sound hit—Rex was feeling very much on a roll! He hit another bludger towards young Pip Manwaring.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Pip Manwaring - January 16, 2025

Pip tried to roll out of the balls way but instead it got him squarely in the face, leaving his face dusted yellow. He flew down to get the score counted and dusted himself off before flying back in.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Caspian Pettigrew - January 16, 2025

Caspian flew down to get the score counted and himself dusted off before flying back in. It looked like despite his brief timeout for score counting, he was immediately getting targetted so he immediately had to try dodging.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Nathaniel Gallivan II - January 16, 2025

Nathaniel attempted to dodge the bludger coming his way.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Lilibet Meadows - January 16, 2025

It took a second for Rorie to realize she'd managed to pull off both dodging the blunger and a roll on her broom. Her hands clung to the handle so tightly she wasn't sure she would be able to pry them off when the time came. But her heart pounded with elation and she let out a whoop of laughter and triumph before she leaned forward and continued flying.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Reuben Crouch - January 20, 2025

Mr. Crabbe scored two points in wick succession as his earlier bludger dusted Miss Valenduris, then a second got Manwaring right in the face. Gallivan and Pettigrew both successfully dodged — Ben was glad of the latter, because it hadn't seemed entirely sporting to him to target the boy before he'd even fully kicked off the ground.

BLUDGERS IN FLIGHT:
None~

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Abraxas Crabbe - January 20, 2025

In spite of his successes, by Rex's estimations, Hufflepuff was still not quite in the lead. No matter: the seventh year would simply have to continue on as he had been. His bat made contact with another bludger, this time sending it rocketing off in Eros Mohr's direction.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Jameson Potter - January 20, 2025

The only true injury had been to his pride, and while Jameson supposed that bruise might set in later—when the thrill of the event had passed—for now, the Ravenclaw dusted himself off both literally and metaphorically and kicked back off into the fray.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Hippolyta Pucey - January 20, 2025

It did not hurt, not like she had heard true bludgers did. Nonetheless, Polly had been so focused upon one bludger that her collision with another had come as quite the shock and she was left feeling frazzled as well as now dusty as she took her mandated time-out. The sixth year bit her lip as she worked to dam up the tears of frustration prickling in the corners of her eyes; it would not do, after all, to be seen as a poor sport.

When she had served her time, the Slytherin returned to the skies.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Bonnie Greyback - January 20, 2025

Blair had to determine that they would not be suited as a beater because that spark of anger when the ball went wide of the mark would likely land them in hot water. But then the feeling passed and the teen returned to their madly cackling high speed self before hammering the ball once again towards the opponents, this time picking out Abraxas Crabbe.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Abraxas Crabbe - January 20, 2025

Abraxas Crabbe was not about to be bested by a seeker! The bludger was not coming at him quite at an angle for a sound hit, but the Hufflepuff thought that if he moved his shoulder just so, he could fire it back towards Miss Greyback.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Eros Mohr - January 20, 2025

Eros did his best to dodge the bludger coming his way.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Pip Manwaring - January 20, 2025

Pip went and got the score on him counted before dusting himself off and flying back into the fray.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Nicodemus Dursley - January 20, 2025

Nico hit a puff towards Miss Meadows.

RE: Tuck, Roll, Duck, Dodge! - Reuben Crouch - January 26, 2025

Mohr managed to dodge again; he was nearly unhittable today. Crabbe meanwhile had done a masterful bit of work to send Greyback's bludger back at her; she took the hit as the bludger was mid color-change, but Ben had been watching and recorded the point for Hufflepuff. Ravenclaw scored as well as Dursley caught Miss Meadows unawares — probably still reeling from the spin she'd just pulled off.

There was a bit of drama as the Gryffindor and Slytherin beaters competed for the same bludger (Ben had to roll his eyes — there were clearly plenty of bludgers to go around, but neither house had seemed to find their groove yet and he wasn't sure he expected them to do so now). After a back and forth, the bludger — coloring red — shot off towards Miss Pucey.
Eros dodges. Rex rebounds the shot to Bonnie who is hit. Nico hits Rori.

BLUDGERS IN FLIGHT:
NPC Gryff hits to Hippolyta Pucey

THREAD WILL CLOSE FEBRUARY 10TH (give or take a day for Lynn to forget and then be reminded >>)
House points go to a) whichever team has the highest score when all final bludgers are adjudicated and b) the flyer (not beater) who was most recently posted without having since been hit (in character the last flyer 'standing' when the game winds down).
