How Do You Wanna Do This? | Elaine's Networking - Naeva Marshall - March 2, 2018

Welcome to Elaine's networking. I hope the Critical Role gif doesn't bother you. It just happens to fit with my idea and what I'm doing here. These magical seven words - "How do you want to do this?" - represent victory to me (and probably every other Critter out there), because they are typically only spoken by the Dungeon Master, Matthew Mercer, for a significant victory. Whether its significance is story-based or skill-level-based. It allows the player to display just how much this victory means to their character. Even if it means getting disgustingly gory. But I hope you get the idea.


Adelina North
Wife & Mother
Middle Class - Halfblood - Hufflepuff - 31

An avid lover of horses - both magical and not - Adelina is a housewife raised in London who misses the hustle and bustle of her hometown. She is the middle child of three, a mother of four (with more in her future), and co-guardian of the wild child that is Angharad Warbeck.
Adelina graduated Hogwarts in 1875 and took Ancient Studies, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, and History of Magic as her NEWT courses, achieving an Outstanding grade in CoMC.
Needs: Proper lady friends.
Wants: Past threads set at Hogwarts and her brother, sister, and father. I'm not going to be posting adoptables for these individuals, but if someone wants to play one, I am all for it.
Plot Desires: Friends. All of the friends. Please. Don't let this proper middle class woman be friendless!
 

Kiva Kenny
Funerary Photographer & Artist
Working Class - Vampire - 102

Kiva - born Caoimhe ó Cionaoith to muggle parents - was turned into a vampire at the age of 19, in the year 1805. She works as a photographer and portrait artist at Spinnakers Funeral Services - a vampire-owned parlor which offers discounts on services in exchange for the blood of the recently deceased.
She is curious and brutally honest by nature, but she is at least somewhat social.
Needs: Acquaintances, bodies to paint, people to discuss art with
Wants: Building relationships.
Plot Desires: Plot is completely open at present, but I would like her to get involved with other vampires. Vampires she doesn't work with.
 

Lenora Winthrope
Wife & Socialite
Upper Class - Halfblood - Hufflepuff - 27

The socialite demi-gossip youngest sister of Richard Gladstone, Lenora - Norrie, if you're a close friend - says she doesn't gossip. And she usually doesn't. Unless it's about her older brother and with only family. She is incredibly sympathetic to Miss Scrimgeour's plight.
She just wants her scandals kept far away from her brother.
Needs: Hogwarts contemporaries, friends, people she knows.
Wants: To protect Richard's heart Matchmaking threads for Richard
Plot Desires: Respectable girls to throw at Richard is #1 goal. There are also specifics to do with Miss Bella Scrimgeour for the drama.

Naeva Lécuyer
Pendergast Rose
Upper Class - Pureblood - Slytherin - 18

A recent Hogwarts graduate with a pair of older sisters who are also identical twins, Naeva is a first year Pendergast Rose and the daughter of a widower. She has one pet, a Siamese cat named Margaux, speaks fluent French, and reads Witch Weekly almost obsessively - a habit she keeps to herself these days.
Naeva graduated Hogwarts in 1888 and took Astronomy, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Divination, Potions, and Transfiguration as NEWT courses.
Needs: Pendergast friends, Irvingly threads.
Wants: Fellow cat lovers, past threads involving her early Hogwarts years.
Plot Desires: I'm not sure if I want Naeva to become a Proper Lady™ or fall from grace in some spectacular way. All I do know is that if the later happened, it would be because of a very out-of-place and whirlwind romance. And Irvingly is the perfect place for one of these to happen, isn't it?
 

Orinda Ruskin
Second YearStudent
Middle Class - Half Vampire - Ravenclaw - 14

Yes, a fourteen-year-old second year. Orinda was a victim of the half-breed ban, which led to a repeat of the end of her first year, and an extension of the time she'll be attending Hogwarts. Naturally, this left Orinda rather unhappy. But she isn't letting it get her down! She's got aspirations and a burning desire tto change the public opinion of half-breeds.
She likes to spend time in the sun (and as a result is often sporting a light sunburn), and does her absolute utmost to succeed in her classes. She's also a cellist!
Needs: Friends, frenemies, nemeses.
Wants: A crush. Bonus points if the object of Orinda's affections is upper class, pure blood, prejudiced, or some combination of all three. This isn't any sort of commitment, not really, it's largely just for the Hogwarts dramaz.
Plot Desires: Currently, she's got aspirations to enter the Ministry when she graduates - hoping in vain to change the minds of the closed-minded. So there's that. Also the futile crush thing.

I have Clarissa Cosgrove who is a fellow Pendergast Rose.
And Philip Aymslowe and Josiah Rohlwing both live in Irvingly so could potentially have some sort of interaction with her.

FOR ADELINA
I don't really have any women her age, Clara Ross comes closest at the age of twenty six but they might possibly be in the same social circles so could have become friends that way?

I am totally down for Clarissa and Naeva threading, 100%. I'm assuming Sweet Delights is a sweets shop, so that would be fantastic. As for Josiah...ohh, the shenanigans my brain is conjuring. Naeva was raised with purist values, you see - but I could definitely see her having her opinions changed with well-played interaction. Or perhaps made more concrete...

Clarissa has an open PSYR thread that you could snag! <3 And Sweet Delights is indeed a sweet shop! I am curious what sort of shenanigans are whirling in that Elaine mind of yours and wouldn't mind threading them and seeing if my shy muggle sweetheart can't shake her purist belief system a little.

I am open for threads with all three so just let me know which you want to start and which I should start, etc.

I'm not sure if Victor and Benjamin would still be acquainted or not but I just realised both women were Hufflepuffs together for a tiny bit of time. Maybe when Clara was younger, she looked up to Adelina - over the years she would have grown distant due to the enchanted ring but maybe Adelina wrote that off as the young woman just busy with her own wifely duties and all that jazz - and now that the enchantments off, Clara could reconnect with her?

Hi Elaine! I don't have much, but I do have some options!

Bella Scrimgeour resides with the MacFusty family in the Hebrides, so might stumble across Adelina on one occasion or another. She's not very concerned with propriety for propriety's sake, though does feel self-conscious around people who she perceives as "better" than herself (and thus probably has some modesty about her :P). I'm particularly amused by Adelina's boggart because Bella raises wolf pups with Jamie!

Adelina was also in the same year as Finnian Byrne. Do as you wish with that.

Edric Umbridge - I was wondering if you'd be hitting this. Wink A thread with Bella would be veeery interesting, especially with the wolf pups thing! The good news about that is that the boggart is never a pup, but an adult wolf. And vicious. So human-raised pups would probably be less likely to cause ~problems. Also opening up the option of past threads for Finnian if you're up for that!
