Through her maternal line, Zinnia is a second cousin to the Scamanders.
History:Precision, Zinnia feels, is important: she stands at five feet, three and three-quarter inches in height, with an otherwise willowy build. The importance of poise has been drilled into her from a young age, and so she carries herself gracefully and at her full height—she hasn’t slouched since she was nine.
Her appearance is, likewise, well put-together, with clothes in fashionable styles, if simple colours and patterns by her own preference. Perhaps the only unruly thing about her is her hair which, even with the aid of tonics and charms, never lasts more than a couple of hours before reverting back to a mane of brown curls. These are a couple of shades darker than her caramel skin but not so dark as the deep chocolate of her eyes.
Her smile, when it comes, is broad and gleeful, though her smirk is rather more predatory. Zinnia is right-handed.

1884 | While in the country for the summer, Zinnia, Basil, and their grandmother all contrac the laughing plague. Zinnia witnesses her grandmother’s passing and subsequent ghostening.
1885 | Nia breaks her leg in a riding accident. Though magic allows it to be swiftly repaired, the girl from then on refuses to mount a horse. Indeed, the more astute might even notice she gets fidgety around carriages and the like, but her parents have never paid her an overabundance of attention.
1886 | September sees her begin her time at Hogwarts, where her desire to build—and excel in—the life she wants sees her put easily into Slytherin.The Bud

1891 | Zinnia sits her OWLs in May, and feels good about her performance. Upon return home for the summer months, she is ‘reminded’ that she will be attending the Pendergast School in the autumn.
