Clare Victoria Basiltree for Christopher Basiltree.
Meddlesome mother, but make her a squib <3
The thought of marrying Cecily Gallivan had occurred to Fitz in the way that the thought of marrying any attractive young lady did: a firm maybe and a hasty step away to more pleasurable topics, like sport or brandy.Fitzroy Prewett in Well. That took a turn.

May 30th, 1891 — The Midnight Boat Ride
Why was blue the darkest color she'd brought with her to Hogwarts? Oh, right. She hadn't expected her father to die so suddenly. Thank Merlin for her brother's thoughtfulness, otherwise she might've been sitting here, in a boat with three white-clad debutantes, dressed in a muted blue rather than absolute pitch black. She just about blended with the surface of the lake, for Merlin's sake. Though to make matters worse, now her mourning was bringing down the joy of the girls around her. This was their night, though it would have been hers as well.

"I'm sorry," she blurted out, as the boat drifted. "I would have stayed behind, but it was expected of me." She felt terrible. Lillian Avery, a dark blot on the 1891 Hogwarts Coming Out Ball. She'd had the decency to stay in Gryffindor Tower during the ball proper, until a house elf had been sent to fetch her for the seventh years' departure.

Something about tradition.

Lily didn't care. She was sullying their night with her sadness.
Open to three debutantes!!
Dress, though in proper black

Miss Avery certainly did have a tragical lot handed to her. The poor girl was thrown into mourning just before coming out. Before even having the chance to secure a marriage. Still, it gave her a chance. A chance to get adjusted to society in a more calm manor than Cecilia was allowed. In a morbid way, she was jealous.

Still, she couldn't show such thoughts. The very thought! So this left her at a loss for words, discomfort clear on her face. What could she possibly say or do to make this poor girl feel better on such a night? Under such circumstances.

But then Miss Avery spoke. "Nonsense, Miss Avery. Despite your circumstances, this is your night to." She responded softly.
