Did You Know?
Queen Victoria was known for putting jackets and dresses on her pups, causing clothing for dogs to become so popular that fashion houses for just dog clothes started popping up all over Paris. — Fox
It would be easy to assume that Evangeline came to the Lady Morgana only to pick fights. That wasn't true at all. They also had very good biscuits.

Appearance:
Even as a child she was taller than most girls, having hit her growth spurts far earlier. She didn't always have the build she does, but thirteen years of circus life and even more years of playing outside in the sun have left her tanned and muscular. Her hair is deep, dark brown, nearly black in color with eyes only a few shades lighter. She uses her right hand though is capable of doing most physical activities with her left other than writing. Lyss favors magical robes rather than muggle clothing.
History:
1861 | Blyss earns her name from the silence that she held as a babe. Unlike her other siblings, she rarely cried and seemed quite content to lay and watch the world around her. This silence was short-lived. As soon as she was able to move in some manner whether it be crawling or walking, she was making noise and getting into everything. Her name, once well suited, became frankly, ironic.

1865 | While born in England she and her family do not stay for long as her father's job uproots the family and sees them to Canada where her father is the Ministry of Magic liaison to the newly forming government. Upon settling she is quick to make friends and despite her mother's urging, she spends more time outside, playing with her brothers than she shows interest in typically 'womanly' things.

1866 | When she comes of age to begin her education, she joins her siblings with the governess (brought with them from England). She proves a poor student, far too inattentive to learn when she could be staring out the window. Still, she takes the move quite well and thrives in Canada where the social rules aren't as strict as they are in Britain.

1872 - 1873 | What she doesn't quite handle as well is being shipped back across the ocean two months after her eleventh birthday to attend Hogwarts. It isn't that she is displeased by learning magic, but rather she struggles with having spent most of her childhood in Canada, and the move is a bit of a culture shock. She struggles to adapt to the tightened rules she must follow and mourns for home where she had land to roam. While she never fully adjust, she does find a few friends while there (who are all female, much to her mother's pleasure when she writes home).

She is promptly sorted into Gryffindor upon her arrival to Hogwarts and takes to practical classes far faster than she does those with heavy theory work - or essays. While she can write and read, she never found the two tasks enjoyable and homework becomes a drudge to do. Still, at the very least, she doesn't flunk out and her grades hover around an acceptable if not a little low. This might be due to her siblings' nagging.

1874 - 1875 | During her third year, she adds on only one elective - care of magical creatures. Unlike the other, it promises to be very hands-on and a class in which she doesn't have to spend most of her time in a stuffy classroom.

1876 - 1877 | During her fifth year is when everything slowly starts to fall apart. When Lyssie sought permission to try out for the house quidditch team, her mother puts her foot down and says no. Still unable to find her place at Hogwarts, she starts to become distant and slacks off in a few of her more disliked classes. Still, she pulls through her O.W.L. exams with okay grades in some of her classes even if her classwork left things to be desired.

Summer of 1877 | Upon returning home the summer after her fifth year, Blyss starts to consider ending her Hogwarts career with her O.W.L.s. Her parents are not thrilled, but they suppose it is better than paying for her to intentionally fail. She will just stay at home for a few months or so where she can be kept under a watchful eye. Her youngest sibling is still under the care of the family governess, so she resumes lessons with her until she is old enough to join society.

What she sees as her break comes that summer as well. A traveling circus visits her city and Blyss and her family acquire tickets to see the show. It is here, Lyssie finds what she takes to be here calling. Life in a traveling circus sounds perfect. Never having to be bound to one place and not having to follow society's strangling rules. It doesn't take long for her to decide to run away and join the circus when they leave. (At least she has enough sense to know if she left before they left, she would just be dragged back home.)

She leaves a note explaining herself to her parents for them to find when they wake. It isn't that she doesn't love her family, but she needs to find her place in the world where she does feel as if the rules are bounding her wrist so tightly together that she can’t even stay afloat.

Fall of 1877 | In the circus, as she expected, she thrives. Taken on to train under the acrobats, she enters into a contract with the ringmaster. It says in payment for her training, she must perform for a year for every year it takes to train her. She is fine with that. A traveling circus, she decides quickly, is the only life she wants to lead.

1878 | A little after a year into her training, the circus takes on yet another new member, a man by the name of Beau Miller. He is six years her elder and arrives with a collection of magical beasts. This alone is enough to fascinate her and the two end up fast friends. To anyone else, it might appear that they were a couple, but never once did Lyss fancy herself in love. They joke and tease and she finds herself open to telling him almost anything. Friends are all they are for the first few months, but when Beau cracks a suggestive comment one night she plays off it rather than changing the tone, and it isn't long before they add causal sex to the list of benefits of being friends. They continue this for a few years until the ringmaster approaches her about if she'd like to move to a new circus. This new group had hit a hard patch and lost a few of their members and needed new faces.

1881 | While she has grown quite fond of her assortment of odd companions over the five years, part of the appeal to circus life was not being bound in one place and therefore she says yes. This time, the transition is smooth. She already has a role and knows what she needs to do. Or so she expects, it isn't the new group that throws her in a twist but rather her pregnancy.

It is easy to know who the father is, but rather than backtrack to find Beau, she chooses to continue on without telling him. They'd never been romantically attached and their relationship had been no strings attached. A kid was a string.

1882 | She soon gives birth to a son, who she calls Ayden. While she does take some time off performing, the two stays with the circus doing behind the scenes work. This is the time she starts getting into training the circus animals, something that had only been an on and off again interest since Beau would tell her about his work.

During this time off preforming, she starts to work on learning trick riding, a form of acrobatics on the back of well, typically a horse, but really any of the magical creatures who are trained to be ridden. After a few months from the birth of her son, she is once more ready to perform and the new act is ready to debut.

1890 | Driven to bankrupt, the circus disbands. Left without a source of income, Lyss decides to pack up her bag and takes Ayden back to England. Here she starts to attempt to rebuild the bridges she burned with her family and she and her son are allowed to take up residence with Blyss’s parents in Irvingly while she gets her feet on the ground having spent most of her money on passage to Britain on the condition that she follow through on the lies they planted to cover her disappearance. (The ones that said she was sent to care for an ailing great aunt back in Canada. Most details are added to cover for her return and son that say she married on Canadian season and her husband passed in ‘89, prompting her to return home.

While her mother watches Ayden in the day, she takes up work in Hogsmeade at Denbright’s. It is nothing like the circus, but it doesn’t require schooling grades she never got and here in the toy store, she can find hints of the wonder and hoy that made her love the circus so much.
