Avril had a nagging feeling that Ace had lied when he said he didn't know what she was talking about. It wasn't that she didn't trust him to not make irrational decisions, it was that he was keeping secrets that bothered her.

She hadn't said anything about her possibly being pregnant, but that was different. That didn't effect anyone else, until the baby was born. Her Mother was the only one who knew it was a possibility. She hadn't told Warwick yet.

If she told her husband, that would make it all to real and she wasn't ready to be a mother. She was hardly ready to be an adult. How could she be expected to raise another human? She decided that she needed to tell him soon, possibly tonight.

When she got the letter from Ace, that plan changed. "I knew it!" She was happy that her brother had found someone to love, and wished that she knew the woman during Hogwarts, but if she recalled right, Ms. Flint — er, Mrs. Lukeson, now, she supposed — had been a Hufflepuff.

She'd seen her at most of the balls that Avril had attended, but the redhead had never talked with her well enough to get to know her. Apparently Ace knew her well, if he was willing to marry him.

Elaine made Avril's set!
