ARGUS SCRIMGEOUR SENTENCED
Abuser To Serve Three Months in Asylum
Argus Scrimgeour, 63, has managed to avoid time in Azkaban following his arrest in May of 1888 on charges of aggravated assault against his disgraced daughter, Annabelle Scrimgeour.
Mr. Scrimgeour faced trial after a prolonged jail sentence caused by the Ministry's fog crisis. He was represented by defense attorney August Echelon-Arnost, who negotiated with the Wizengamot for a more lenient sentence in exchange for a guilty plea.
In the end, Mr. Scrimgeour was sentenced two three months in the asylum beginning August 3rd. Sources say he was transported there not too long after the trial concluded.
Many have attributed Mr. Scrimgeour's "lenient sentence" to his wealth, influence, and former involvement in law enforcement.
None of the Scrimgeours, nor members of the Wizengamot, were available for immediate comment.
