May 1, 1895 - Hogwarts Castle Grounds

With the warmth of spring Bells had increasingly held her classes outside amid Earth Magic garden her students tended to for homework. This particular garden always brought her joy, just as it had done when she had been a student tending to it herself. As such she had left a note on her door directing the students out here.

Now the class had finally assembled long the short stone fence that marked the boundary of the garden from that of the rest of the school grounds. "Good afternoon, please take a seat." Bells grinned at each of her students. She'd taught them for almost an entire school year now and they'd found a way to creep into her heart much like ivy along the trunk of a tree.

"As we have been discussing this past week, today is Beltane. After supper this evening I invite you to join me at a bonfire. However, our lesson today shall focus on the preparation for the holiday. As you will remember their are certain days of the year in which earth magic is most potent, today is one of those days. Can anyone tell me what type spells are the strongest on Beltane?"

Antelope sat in class, crossed legged on the ground with her robe spilled out around her. She chatted away to another student happily until they were given the instruction to pay attention and Professor Bloom began outlining the class. The bonfire sounded like awfully good fun.

The hufflepuff was quick to answer the question posed by the teacher. Beltane is the celebration of fertility and the erm... associated activities." she half blushed and half smirked, she would say it happily except that there was male students here too and despite her confident and care free nature, she was still a lady. "My understanding is that magic of fertility and growth is stronger at this time of year, as is fire, as the element of the celebration."

She already had her wand in her hand and waved it over a dandelion who had the grace to be sat on front of her. "Herbivicus" the flower grew taller then erupted into a beautiful crown of white fluffy seeds
