Though she has too much of a pride to ever consider herself ugly, Leah is by no means the prettiest flower in the garden, and has long wished for softer, less distinct features. She possesses the Beauregard family's signature brown hair and blue eyes, though the former is altogether too flat and thin to do much with. Her eyes are her prettiest feature—at least in her opinion—but her large nose tends to detract from that! Boo! She has, much to her delight, seemed to have plateaued her growth at five feet, theee inches tall.History:
Her saving grace might just prove to be her figure, which in recent years has begun developing a more "womanly" shape. She likes to dress it up to the best of her ability, but can only work with what her family finances afford her. She prefers lighter hues and swears against "ugly" patterns such as plaids, stripes, or floral designs. She wields her wand with her right hand.
1872 | To be born four years after her the last Beauregard child means being the only baby in the household at the time of her birth—and boy did she relish it. Demanding and fussy, it often took both the attention of her other and nanny simply to calm her from her tantrums.Personality:
1873 | Chester goes off to Hogwarts when Leah is still a baby; as such, she hardly realizes he's gone.
1876 | Theodore goes off to Hogwarts, and just when she's beginning to enjoy annoying him! Four-year-old Leah is an absolute nightmare to anyone unwilling to coddle her—her favorite pastime is throwing tantrums and toys, while punishments for her outbursts are far and few between.
1877 | The muggle riots see the Beauregards moving to Bartonburg in Hogsmeade with the rest of the Beauregard family. Leah does not appreciate the move, as it means the attention is off her for a few months. The presence of magical children her age in closer proximity serves to help her understand that her attitude doesn't make her the best candidate for a friend, and she begins to work on adjusting her so-called attitude.
1878 | Huzzah, a first sign of magic! After an argument between father and daughter sees her send into the front yard to pick the weeds, Leah magics them out of the ground—and she didn't even have to lift a finger! Her father immediately forgets his anger when he hears that she's shown her first sign of magic, and by the end of the day both father and daughter forget completely about the argument.
1869 | Emmett the asshole (which is what she probably thinks of him as when he receives his Hogwarts letter) leaves for school, leaving her without an obvious playmate at home.
1883 | Her Hogwarts letter arrives just as expected, and in September she's off to school! The hat sorts her into Slytherin—not exactly something she expected, but neither is it something she finds unfitting. She struggles to adjust into a social circle, with some of her classmates finding her annoying. Fuck them and a the hippogriffs they rode in on! She takes to academics fairly easy, and though she does well, she never does great. She also involves herself in Art and Music class, finding them much-needed breaks in academics.
October brings the death of her cousin, Bentley, in a fire, which has more of an effect on an older brother than it does her. Her presence at school means that there's little she can do to comfort him.
1884 | The Laughing Plague and subsequent Hogsmeade fires sees the whole village up in panic, but fortunately her family as a whole—bar a case or two of recovered illnesses—remains unharmed.
1885 | The beginning of third year sees the addition of Ancient Runes and Care of Magical Creatures to her course load. She has little desire to take boring "book work" classes like Ancient Studies, nor frivolous ones like Divination, and by mid-year decides she made the right choices.
1887 | The year leaves her emotionally exhausted with the half-breed ban, Minister's resignation, and all the fallout that follows. She just wants to go on with her life and not deal with all the drama.
1888 | The end of her fifth year is accompanied by the dreaded OWLs and a desire for summer freedom. That dream, however, is promptly crushed by the fog that begins enveloping Hogsmeade—and she's stuck there! All she can hope is that the Summer Solstice Festival is not postponed or canceled; she needs some fun.
