With a soft, round face and a day-bright smile, Eilish is every inch her mother’s mimic. She has never lost her baby fat– full cheeks and dimples and an intense capacity for pouting, which she does tend to use to get her way. She is the quintessential baby of the family and expects to have her way. Her hair grows thick with bouncing curls, honey-gold and crowding around eyes like rainclouds.

She has started a small collection of ribbons, pins, and bows for her thick curls, and though she cannot often afford it she adores clothing with lace or extra ruffles. Throughout autumn, winter, and the early days of spring, Eilish can be found draped almost entirely in her mother’s knitting.

- 1883: Eilish is born, the younger of two daughters of Aiden and Fiona McCarthy.
- 1884-1891: Eilish’s father and grandmother both perish in the Laughing Plague. The little family returns to Galway, where Fiona’s relatives still live. They settle in a comfortable cottage on the edges of Galway, and Eilish grows up enthralled with the meadows there. She is forever dashing about out of doors.
- 1892: Naimh goes to Hogwarts. Eilish pouts constantly for the first week, put out that her big sister isn’t home to play.
- 1894: Fiona takes up a position at Hogwarts just in time for Eilish to begin her schooling there. At her age it doesn’t bother Eilish any. She doesn’t say it out loud, of course, but the thought of being so far from her mother for so long made her desperately nervous. This way, she can still run to her Mama when she’s frightened.

Bubbly, social, and opinionated, little Eilish makes a quick and passionate friend. She seeks community and common ground everywhere she goes, extending hands toward anyone that she think seems particularly lonely. The eager bridge between bookworms and wanderers, Eilish spares little mind for House or origin. She can be somewhat careless in her approach to people. Warm, giving, but equally demanding, and reluctant to respect inconvenience boundaries. She takes very poorly to being ‘put in her place.’
