Just a month shy of the anniversary of the mysterious quick-moving storm of last July that claimed the life of Miss Sloane Bixby, sources have uncovered that the girl is indeed alive and well. The Bixby family went to the local constabulary of their own volition to explain the situation in detail.

Miss Bixby, a metamorphmagus, after being struck by lightning, did not drown in the lake, but washed up on shore a ways away from the original accident with no memory of who she was, nor what she looked like! The Bixby family was mum on the details to the press, but said that Miss Bixby was well-taken care of during her disappearance and it was just a week ago that she recovered her memory and went straight home. The family is asking for privacy at this time and do not want to expose anyone in ill will.

When asked about the body that was recovered and buried at a plot in Asphodel Cemetery under Miss Bixby’s name, Chief Constable Rhys Gallagher was quick to assure the public that the Constabulary would reopen the investigation. “With the news of Miss Bixby’s safe reappearance, we will be taking the investigation of the body found in the water very seriously with renewed vigor.”

The real question remains; where was she and what was she doing? And who was it that was buried in her stead?
