- Build: Tall and somewhat lanky, Julian’s long legs give him a gait with the grace– and stride– of a giraffe. Where his father was built broad from hard labor, Julian has been spared that life. He has a scholar’s slim build, a scholar’s soft hands, and a carefree smile which creases heavily about his eyes.
- Attire: For a climber who wants nothing but to keep his family secure in the heights he has brought them, appearances are everything. Julian attends carefully to the fashions of the hour. Nothing extreme, nothing unusual– making statements carries risks, and so he attends instead to the traditions of the wealthy and powerful families which surround him. He dresses often in black or similarly dark colors. Outside formal events his clothes are often older– worn, if inspected very closely. Though he can afford to replace his used garments, Julian prefers to put their family’s fortune into dressing his precious siblings in whatever finery they wish.
- Demeanor:Julian is calm and kind, if somewhat nervously polite. He smiles often, greeting new acquaintances with an open and honest warmth. His hands are nearly always occupied– carrying a book, or a pen, or a glass, or perhaps his spectacles. This is to stop him talking with his hands quite so much as he is normally inclined. Whenever he cannot occupy his hands, he frequently clasps them behind his back.
- Play-By:Harry Richardson History:
- Before - Vincent's father, Richard, dedicates his whole life to compiling enough funds to provide his family with a better life. It is on the back of his selfless dedication that the family is able to rise from poverty, and by the time of his passing he is able to leave his son a sizable inheritance to be further invested.
- 1861 - Vincent Moore– a middle-class man employed at the Ministry of Magic– makes a handful of very clever, very lucky investments following the untimely death of his father. In a handful of years he is able to provide his wife with a far better quality of life than either of them had enjoyed growing up.
- 1870 - Vincent and Blanche Moore welcome their first child, a healthy boy they name Julian for Blanche’s father, and Amadeus for Vincent’s. The family live a comfortable– if modest– life in a boisterous neighborhood in middle-class London, supported by Vincent Moore’s clever investments and a growing shipping business.
- 1873 - Julian’s little sister, Rosanna, is born.
- 1875 - Julian’s little brother, Ambrose, is born. He is sickly from the start, but with the attendance of skilled healers he survives.
- 1877 - The Moore family’s muggle neighbors uncover their magical nature. For fear of persecution, the family packs up their lives and moves away to Hogsmeade. They purchase a respectable home in Bartonburg North and do their best to return to normality.
- 1881- Julian attends his first year at Hogwarts. He is sorted into Hufflepuff, where he makes a number of close friends, and he absolutely thrives in an academic environment. Upon his return for Christmas he begs his parents to let him stay for the full seven years. They agree that they can afford the expense, for him and for his siblings.
- 1883- Baby Maggie comes screaming into the world and quickly becomes the center of the whole family’s attention.
- 1884 Rosanna begins her schooling in Slytherin house.
- 1886 Ambrose is sorted into Slytherin with his sister. The pair argue frequently, both in school and at home. Julian does his best to keep the peace between them. He sees this as his responsibility as the eldest brother, but finds it difficult to manage them while they are not sharing a home. It is a source of significant stress for him, even during his O.W.L.S. Though it does nothing for his health, he still manages impressive grades.

- 1888- Julian takes his NEWTS. The Moore family moves house again, this time riding their father’s increasing fortunes into the wealthy district of Wellingtonshire. The new social standing brought by Vincent’s business makes Julian nervous, though he does his best to make a secret of it. He would hate to embarrass his family.

- 1889- Julian begins his training as a healer in Spell Damage, but his training is disrupted in the Summer. Vincent and Blanche leave Julian in charge one night in late June and go to meet some of their wealthier friends to attend a concert. On their return trip, Vincent is killed and Blanche cursed in a burglary gone horribly wrong. Though she survives, Blanche is left a fragile shadow of her former self, barely aware of what happens around her. Julian inherits everything his father built– and the responsibility of his siblings’ care. Julian consigns the running of the business to his father’s lieutenants. The money they make will be enough to keep the family in this comfortable new life… if he doesn’t mess anything up.
- 1890- Following a period of mourning, Julian returns to training for the sake of having something– anything-- to do other than grieve.
- 1891- Julian becomes a Junior Healer at Hogsmeade Hospital. He relies on his work to escape siblings, his household, the looming pressure of all that he must do now that he is head of house. He must, as his fussy aunt is so fond of reminding him, prepare to court and marry. The family’s alliances and their fate are his responsibility now. He is no longer just a boy… he does what he can to avoid inviting her to visit. Rosanna graduates from Hogwarts and makes her society debut.
- 1893- Julian is promoted from Junior Healer and becomes somehow more absorbed in his work. When asked, he insists that he enjoys it– that it his responsibility to be of assistance to his community. That he takes pride in his work. All of that is true, of course, he’s never been a very skilled liar, but there’s more to it… Ambrose graduates from Hogwarts.
- 1894- Margaret begins her schooling.

Julian is a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders– or, at the very least, the weight of one sizable household. A kindhearted man far more fond of books and quiet garden strolls than fancy parties, he dedicates the majority of time to his work at Hogsmeade Hospital, and the rest of it to his siblings. Everything he does is done for them. Every stitch he earns from the Hospital is divided between their allowances, that they never need to dip into the building funds from the family’s shipping business. Every alliance he builds is in the interest of finding opportunities for them– marriage for his little sisters, careers for his brother, friends for them all that they might better enjoy the wealth and status to which they have all become accustomed. Julian lives in a state of low-grade paranoia, often fretting that someday he might fail to maintain all that their father built before his death and send the family tumbling back into the workhouses where his parents began. If he stops working for too long, be it on medicine or on his family, all those worries come rushing back to the fore. So it’s better, really, that he focus on what matters. On them.
Other: Haha, yeah he’s fine. His mental health is fine. Don’t worry about it.
