Hello all!

This is Xander, 25 y/o UCHB member of the Werewolf Capture Unit! A former Gryffindor Beater and former Hit Wizard, he's well known for being a little bit intense. At Hogwarts, you might have known him as an Auror-wannabe (which didn't end up happening, thanks to his grades).

Looking for:
Friends/coworkers: Xander is pretty friendly to everyone he works with, although he's a little bit cooler towards people with pro-creature views and more comfortable interacting with people his own age who can accept that he can be a little bone-headed. He's respectful to women who work (though maybe quietly appalled if they're married/have children), and likely a little bit insensitive, though well-meaning to those of lesser means. He likely has some friends from Hogwarts who were 1-2 years older/younger than him!
Enemies: Xander is a little subtle about his views on creatures, halfbreeds, etc. but that doesn't mean that everyone's ignorant of them. At the same time, his general persona might make some people uncomfortable. He's bold and not afraid to risk himself doing some things that others consider stupid. He also left the Hit Wizard office -- maybe that made some people annoyed?
Hurling?: He's nothing if not respectful. He sees women as "things that need to be protected" and can be a little thick when it comes to realizing the *gasp* women have independent thoughts? Marriage isn't something that's really occurred to him beyond needing to happen sometime in the future.

Ayyy<3 I can offer a few peeps:

Reginald Alderton was a Ravvie and a couple years older than he was. Reg is really nice but really awkward, but I think these two would actually mesh pretty nicely friend wise? He dropped out of the auror program after someone got hurt on his watch and now he's a crime/politics writer for the DP
I also have Zinnia Potts, also a former Ravenclaw, and a year older than him. She's super ditzy and a damsel in distress, so I think she'd feed nicely into his attitude toward women lol.
Clifford Hillicker is his age (maybe a year or so older), but was also in Gryffindor. I don't think they would've gotten along at all because he's also a hothead.
Timoleon Maxime is a werewolf but no one knows it. He's an asshole and would be an extra asshole to Xander based on his job, so that's fun.
Juniper Edevane is kind of a bully, has made it very clear she won't marry and become just a pretty face with no thoughts of her own, so they'd clash significantly. I think it would be fun to thread them haha.

First of all I will obviously be violently throwing @"Topaz Urquart" in your direction as soon as I revive her. She's currently registered & checking in to the Ministry cells every full moon so maybe we could have a thread in passing in the DRCMC on her way in or out before she goes rogue?

Ford here is similar age and works in the same department - he thinks everyone on the WCU is a little too intense so Xander wouldn't stand out to him on that front haha. I think they could get along in a coworker capacity! As long as Xander doesn't have anything against ghosts lol.

Juliana Ainsworth works at the Ministry as the Minister's Secretary and is ALSO SECRETLY an acclaimed lycanthropy researcher, Marlowe Forfang. Forfang is an academic first and foremost but "his" work is definitely empathetic to werewolves and pro-werewolf rights.

Also various Ministry people (Oz Dempsey is the Minister, Francesca McKinnon works in DMLE, Xavier Davies is a patent clerk). I was going to say "various society people" but I think he's a bit young for any of my others so let's leave it at that :P

So first off I have Kieran, secret werewolf but ALSO a reporter who tends to cover creature news for the Daily Prophet. I would love for them to have a run-in.

Also in his age range, I have Noble Greengrass who would have been his roommate! I could see them being friends? Noble has no strong political opinions, but would be relatively accepting of Xander being bone-headed.

In the vein of antagonists, I have Zelda Darrow - also in his year - who was annoyed by people in law enforcement when she worked in the Ministry, lol. I also have Ivy Sandow who would have been in the year below him and in the same house - and she had no means but did successfully become an auror, which could lead to complicated feelings?

Hear me out; Tabitha Chevalier is a half-veela a year behind him. The dichotomy amuses me.

I don't have anyone in his year active, but Alvin Bixby was a little ahead and a Ravenclaw, Nigel Yarwood was a year behind also in Ravenclaw. I have a smattering of others that were around him, but none are strong candidates.

Nigel is best bet for a bro, Tabi for amusement XD

Sounds like Reg and Xander could get along! Xander would probably ignore the awkwardness haha, they could definitely talk crime/politics. I like the idea of Xander either saving Zinnia from a situation in the past (which confirms his beliefs) or in the future. If they were on the same Quidditch team, Xander would've at least pretended not to hate Cliff (jury's out on how he actually feels), I'm all for antagonistic interactions with either Timoleon or Juniper!

Either Topaz thread sounds like a brilliant idea, so I'll leave it up to you after reviving Ghosts are cool, as long as they weren't half-creatures/werewolves while alive haha. Maybe Xander could comment on Forfang's "propaganda" in front of Juliana, might make an interesting thread? I'm always up for more coworker threads, too!

Hey Sallie! Hmm I can throw you these folks that might have a reason to be connected:
Cassian Valenduris he's head Hit Wizard and a few years older than him. For sure they've crossed paths. I don't think he'd be mad at him about leaving or anything for a different type of gig, though would be happy to explore their dynamic.
Thomas Harvey is WC and always around Hogsmeade/does a few private investigating on the side. He's affable so if yours isn't a classist they could've gotten around to talking, or Tom gives him a heads up on stuff he's seen/heard.

And then for something a lot more random/just see how they get along I can offer:
Ida Chang is my most hurl-able female haha. I'm not looking for an active romance plot with her but she's always easy to throw into a variety of scenarios and is very headstrong/woman with independent thoughts if you want to explore that.
Marion Flourish if he goes to Flourish & Blotts. Could throw her into random trouble or something.
