Along with the card was a bottle of Jewell Distillery champagne from the Patton collection that Mrs. Patton had hesitantly departed with in the name of good sportsmanship.

This was the final draft of several, Mrs. Patton having scrapped several previous and read over each thoroughly. The 'don't blow it' line was a compromise.

Sent with: a gift wrapped box containing a pair of porcelain frog statuettes that Shalott Dempsey recommended. They look vaguely disappointed/judgemental, but... you know... they're frogs. Maybe that's just how they look.
